Ate at Jerry’s Grill. Food was great. The service was good and the atmosphere pleasant.
Group of 10 golfers this course adequately accommodated with ease, The checkin process was seamless, Staffers were on-it with golf cart movement that allowed us to photo-op with logo'd material. Staff Marshal George, Noland + 2 counter checkin personnel of Mgr + young lady (name forgotten) set the tone of a good day of golfing. Not to mention, the young Man grilling up the hot dogs & frequent visit of Refresher Carts. The grounds were maintained & scenery pleasant However, we lost balls!! Will recommend this establishment. Will be back to visit.
Great course! Very challenging
Did 18 holes and I have to say . One of the hardest but prettiest courses I’ve played on in west Texas. Staff is super friendly and helpful . Will 100% be back . 10/10 on everything, also need to mention the food is pretty awesome !
Beautiful course! Texas Tech
Extremely disappointed with the experience at Rawls Golf Course. I left my range finder in the cart after my round, and when I contacted the staff immediately after, they claimed it was never found. I know for a fact it was left in the cart, and the lack of urgency or concern from the staff was alarming. I strongly believe one of the student workers took it, and the course is now turning a blind eye. This is unacceptable and reflects very poorly on the integrity of the staff. I won’t be returning, and I’ll be warning others to keep a close eye on their belongings here.
I recently played at Rawls Golf Course and accidentally left my range finder in the cart. I called as soon as I realized, but the staff told me it hadn’t been turned in. I strongly believe one of the student workers may have taken it, as it was definitely left in the cart and somehow vanished without a trace. It’s frustrating and disappointing that something valuable can go missing and there’s no accountability. I expected more from a course affiliated with Texas Tech.
Great overall course, but today was “cart path only.” I’d highly recommend evaluating whether you’re up for that before booking. It’s a wide, long course, so you’ll end up carrying multiple clubs each shot and guessing yardage. Add in your cart partner’s process, and it turns into a slow, less enjoyable round—especially at a $100 green fee with taxes. Not worth it for a high handicapper like me. 🤪
Beautiful course overall, but before the round when I went to warm up on the driving range, it was a mess. They only had about six pyramids of balls out, and there was a line of people waiting to hit. Out of all the courses I’ve been to, I’ve never seen anything like that. The ball boys rarely came around to refill the balls either. I’m just curious — with all the resources they clearly have, why not just set out more balls? On top of that, the grass on the range was in terrible shape. My round itself was close to a 10/10 because the course is absolutely stunning, but it’s honestly disappointing how bad the range experience was.
I’m a member and I am very happy I became one. The staff is always friendly and helpful and the course is maintained as well as a course can be kept in Texas. It really deserves the 5 star rating. Having said that, I had to rent clubs a couple of times and was extremely disappointed with the rental clubs. An investment in new clubs is desperately needed. Taylormade Qi10’s or Ping’s G430’s are the kind of clubs someone who is visiting us and pays over 100 dollars to play a round and another 50 to rent clubs, would expect. Also, please make wedges available with the rental clubs.

It’s calm fr
Not a bad course at all for being out in the desert with no trees or water. Need more targets out on the driving range. UT courses are much more scenic.
Great place to play. Walked the course and was not too bad of a walk.
Made me forget I was in west Texas. What a beautiful course, and really not that expensive. My only knock on the place would be the pace of play being a little slow with people looking for lost balls everywhere.
I played this course in 2011 and 2012 and loved the course and the layout and the staff there. I had the pleasure of getting to play the course again this past week on vacation and the course was wonderful. It is a gem and everyone should play it at least once.
