This place was highly recommended to me by some trusted friends. I was disappointed to say the least. Bland. Everything was bland. Mac and cheese was watery and unflavored. Rattlesnake tails were inedible. The actual BBQ had no smoke. Extreme sauce is less spicy than Tobasco. Where are the great texas BBQ flavors?
Service and atmosphere were great. But they were massively overshadowed by the sub-par food. Left the restaurant upset I spent money there.

Had the pleasure of having the Shack cater two events now . Food is just next level good , best collard greens I’ve ever had . Don’t even get me started on my love for the brisket and smoked turkey . Aside from consistently having GREAT FOOD , the staff is comprised of top tier individuals and the owners are a delight to work with . 10/10 would recommend and I tell all my friends .

While storm chasing in the area, we went the extra mile just to stop at this much talked about BBQ Shack! The brisket was amazing and all the sides we tried were equally amazing! The dessert surprised me as it tasted like homemade pastry cobbler like my grandma used to make. It is a little shack but when you walk in you are transported back in time and it looks like a cool barnyard bbq joint! The people were so friendly and I can’t wait to go back! Highly recommended!!🩷
