I'm not sure what happened, but the food quality seems to have gone down hill. The menu is also much smaller since the last time I came in. The staff is friendly, and the food is not bad, but it may be awhile before I visit again.

Not sure why there’s a separate location for Velvet Taco than the original one, but it is fitting. This new atmosphere, one of apathy and a smaller menu, holds a one star rating that I would have never dreamed of placing on the old location.
Apparently this is a “Tester Store” and corporate tests new ideas at this location before making them more widespread. Pretty crazy news when they rarely have the Weekly Taco Feature that is being broadcast on social medias.
I have advocated for this store against Torchy’s for years, for their extensive menu, their lower prices, their customer service, and much more. Velvet, you have broken my heart and lost a forever customer. Excited to order a Trashy Trailer Park and Green Chili Pork from across the parking lot.

Velvet Taco seriously messed up by taking away their steak options like the chimichurri steak taco. That was the only reason I even bothered coming here, and now the menu feels cheap and boring. Who takes away one of the best tacos they’ve ever had on the menu? It feels like they don’t care about loyal customers at all. Honestly, without the steak tacos, this place just isn’t worth it anymore. CONGRATS ON LOSING COSTUMERS!!! The staff is really great though.
