This location is often extremely busy. As with many Whataburgers, service is sloooowww, so expect a long wait. Food quality is always hit or miss here. Often it's cold from sitting behind some $100 mega order that holds the line up all day. Last night I tried the chicken strips for the first time. They were laughably tiny. Just consider them elongated nuggets.

Ordered off of DoorDash. Burger was wrong and took it back to get the right burger just to get home and have another wrong one! Not only this but get home to only 4 ketchups for a family of 5. Cmon don’t act like it comes out of a bonus and quit being cheap because we are already paying $17 for a fast food burger

Whataburger at this location is one of the cleanest. I've seen in a long time. I noticed that everybody that was working there today .had a good attitude .and asked you if you need anything. They were real helpful..💯👍

don’t know who the hell works there but they sure don’t know how to do their job, like at all! plenty of other people have already complained about super late, cold, or gross orders (all of which i’ve gotten from this specific whataburger.) honestly just don’t waste your time, they’ll make you wait at least an hour or two before they even consider making it

Ordered from grubhub. When we contacted wataburger, I was told she couldn't do anything about it other than making a new burger. If i took it back to wataburger Ear Stud on my burger, only look into it. I would have to talk to gruhub. MY PROBLEM IS THAT GRUHUB DIDN'T MAKE MY FOOD WATABURGER DID AND A EAR RING WAS ON MY HAMBURGER BUT REALLY DIDN'T WANT TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR IT NEVER HAD ANYTHING LIKE THIS BEFORE I DON'T LIVE IN LUBBOCK WATABURGER ON 82 SECOND STREET thanks for the cheep ear ring and great service NOT I HOPE PEOPLE LOOK AT THIS

They're always clean, the good is always good, and they even get it right when we add things or ask for no tomatoes. IMO, the best fast food burger for the best price.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Whataburger. I waited forever for my meals, only to receive cold and undercooked fries. To make matters worse, the fries from both of the kids’ meals were completely missing, and instead of gravy in my container, there were ketchup packets dumped in it.
I live out of town, and by the time I got home to my family, my kids were upset they didn’t get their full meals, and I didn’t even have the gravy that is supposed to come with the chicken strip meal. This was an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience.
Whataburger, you need to do better. This kind of service is unacceptable.

I can't remember the last time they prepared my order correctly. Even if you order online you will still be waiting 20+ minutes for your food when you get here.
Updating to say almost a year later and they are no better. Beware that if you order on the app you will not be able to get a refund when they "forget" items in your order. The store will tell you they can't do refunds and to contact through the app. When you try to contact through the app they won't respond.
Also, the prices are higher than most sit-down restaurants now.
Always a good experience coming here wether inside dining or drive thru. Great food great service and very clean restaurant and restrooms.

Idk about the atmosphere it seemed to be a ton of high school kids going there to eat after their high school football game.. but I waited in.yhe.drive thru. AnywYs i.said I would like to order the apple cranberry chicken salad they offer.. well the girl was like umm do u want chicken In it.. I was like yeah it's a chicken salad.. But I got home with it and then looked at it,i eventually called and complained because rhe.lettuxe was bitter and the chicken tasted old. And so I called and the lady was like I didn't sell any salads tonight so that kindof threw me off cuz i confirmed it was the correct store and she still.waa like I didn't sell any salads I was like hey whataburget lady I have the receipt in my hand it was ur store here's the order number and.im gonna.need this replaced.. she.finally complied.. but she tried real hard to not have to give.me another salad .. but hmm .. so make sure u get what u wany while Ur There

Every Whataburger in Lubbock doesn't seem to know what well done means. Every time I order my hamburger well done one side of the meat is done perfect and the other side is pale and undercooked and pale. It happens every time I order a hamburger. When I send the order back sometimes they get it right but sometimes they deliberately overcook or burn the meat. I have been a long time customer but apparently my business isn't important enough to be cost effective. Therefore Fuddruckers, Miss Ann's Classic diner, and other hamburger servers here I come. Whataburger just doesn't seem to value all its customers. I have requested that a Whataburger rep call me back when they give me the option on their server sight. To date I have not received any followup calls.
