Top notch bbq in Lufkin Tx out of a food trailer. Tender brisket, delicious sausage, huge buns and awesome sauce if you want to put it on the meat but it sure doesn't need it. Picnic tables to eat on in a little grassy area next to the trailer adds to the Texas BBQ ambiance. So good. I long to try the burnt ends soon.

We took the family and ordered the El Ray…the nice girl at the register told us it was a bit of everything. We were not disappointed it was so much food and everything was delicious. Ordered the brisket Mac on the side and I highly recommend it!!

BBQ food truck with picnic benches. I got a brisket plate and you can order lean or fatty. I got potato salad and coleslaw. It was probably the best coleslaw i've ever had in my life.

Boxcar BBQ should be on every Barbecue Lover’s wishlist. This sleeping giant is becoming increasingly popular among the locals, so be sure to check them out before the lines start to wrap around the block. They sell out fast, so be sure to get there early if you’re looking to sample everything.
The El Ray gave us a great selection of their meats at a reasonable price point. Their savory spice blend will bring a unique experience with each different type of meat you taste, and it pairs exceptionally with all of them. Without giving too much away, their sides also fit the function, with uniquely crafted options such as green chile Mac & cheese.
One thing that I will say I hope to see added to Boxcar would be better signage, guiding people to the line, and helping them to preview the menu before getting to the front. A small detail, but it can add to the experience.
Some say this is the best BBQ in Texas. I wouldn’t disagree.

Box Car BBQ absolutely blew us away catering my husband’s Army retirement event! From the start, Jeremy made everything easy with great communication and menu options. On the day of the event, he and his staff were kind, professional, while going above and beyond to take care of every detail.
And the food? Hands down the BEST BBQ we and our guests have ever had ANYWHERE in East Texas. The brisket was melt-in-your-mouth, the ribs were perfectly smoked, and the sides and sauce are just as amazing.
People are still talking about how incredible everything was!
If you want flawless service and unforgettable BBQ, Jeremy and his team at Box Car are in a league of their own.

Wonderful food!!! The staff are so polite, pleasant, and the definition of southern hospitality. The food was excellent! I highly recommend the brisket sandwiches and tres leches banana pudding!
