Went there with the family and my kiddo to enjoy a good dinner after a days work. Food was great. Took a little bit for it to come out but the server kept us informed even though he was busy. I did have something in my food as did my wife (I will not say what it was) but instead of making a big deal, I brought it to the servers attention and continued eating. Server brought it to the manager on duty's attention (Aug. 30 @8pm didnt catch the server or managers name) who proceeded to come out and collect the stuff, which we had put on a napkin. Removed the meals from the ticket and stood there and had a conversation about various things nothing of which pertaining to the resteraunt. He handled it the way any manager should have as did the server, me and my family appreciate it.

Try the Fajita Picosas. The salsa is pretty decent for Lufkin. Service can be very hit or miss, you might go a whole meal without a refill on your beverage.

The decor feels like a fever dream of a Midwestern white woman who watched an American television show ABOUT Northern Mexico once, and tried to capture the essence of that and reproduce it on a haunted house budget.

Extremely long wait even with a reservation and not at a peak meal hour.

The complementary salsas are amazing definitely ask for those! The house salsa has so much flavor. The roasted salsa is amazing. We ordered the cancun and the three amigos and was not disappointed. If you are looking for a great tex mex Mexican restaurant and in the area definitely check them out! The georgia peach margarita is off the charts as well!

“Mid” Mexican food. Better than MOST places in Houston & SETX; far less quality than the rest of Texas.

My comment is not meant to offend, it's just constructive criticism. I know I'm not in Mexico, but it's very sad to go eat at a restaurant that looks 100% Mexican and find that the food doesn't taste good. I ordered tacos dorados and it seemed like my order was from Taco Bell.
