My family loves McAlister’s. We have been fans since my husband’s Ole Miss days in Oxford. Today we stopped for lunch in Lufkin, TX, well after the church crowd had passed, and we ordered online before arriving. We gave our name to an employee, and we were immediately brought our drinks - which we took, and we sat down. There were lots of empty tables, none of which had been cleaned, so we picked the least cluttered booth. The floor was covered with spilled drinks, Mac and cheese, and trash. We sat for about 20 minutes, so I went to the counter to remind them we were there and where we were sitting. Ten more minutes and I went back up to ask if our food was ready. It was sitting, bagged up in the kitchen. I took it to sit with my family. Our toasted sandwiches were cold. My husband’s side dish was missing - so this time my daughter went to get it.The manager walked past us at least 5 times while we were there and never once addressed us or asked if we needed anything. Worst experience in a McAlister’s ever!

Stopped in for 1st time. Ordered a wrap with Black Forrest Ham & Roasted chicken breast, hold mayo & honey mustard ADD RANCH. Got to work with it and NO DRESSING AT ALL ON WRAP. FOR $$ you pay for this, it should be right. I even tipped girl at the register..SMH

Southwest Chicken Avocado Salad is amazing! The salad was fresh and delicious, just like the seasonal fruit bowl. The cashier in the drive thru this aftenoon was helpful and kind. Service was fast and pricing was very reasonable.

I had never eaten at a McAllisters until I moved to Lufkin and every time I eat there it is a great experience. The atmosphere is great. The staff is great. The food tastes great. I try and get something new every time I go. The restaurant is always clean.
This place is great! I got a salad and it was huge and so good. The worker made sure out drinks stayed full the whole time we ate and it has a nice and relaxed atmosphere.
Been a while and it's still a good spot. Bit you can't beat the Oxford location.

Purchased the Italian Sub a month ago and it was perfect, today not so much. The Black Forest Ham was all clumped, not separated like it should be and there wasn't much flavor like before - I believe the oil and vinegar was missing. The sandwich fell apart when I took my first bite. The Four Cheese Melt was ok but the bread was hard. The last issue is this was a "to-go" meal and the person that took the order asked if I wanted to add a tip to my credit card - If I am going to tip it will be when I'm actually sitting at a table and being served.
Food is always hot and cooked after being ordered. Service is good. You may need to wait a few minutes to order depending upon the time you arrive. Drinks are pricey but food prices are reasonable. The restaurant atmosphere is usually quiet with a few people chattering. We stop at this restaurant about twice a month.

We enjoyed our lunch here. It's a nice and clean deli with good tasting turkey. Their broccoli cheese soup was also good. Sweet tea was delicious. We had two staff ask at our table if we needed a refill of drinks. We'll be back!

Ordered a plate of pork nachos. Basically got a bag of round chips, 6 pieces of .25 size meat, and half a ladle of melted cheese. Took it back to the counter and said this is unacceptable. They said oh, we gave you the wrong size plate...too many chips...and we can only pour a ladle of cheese.Won't be back again. Do better.
