The food came out to our table hot hot right out of the fryer. The fish tasted so good. Probably the best fish I've eaten in a long time. Fries were hot and seasoned perfectly. This was my first time to eat at The Catch because we live in Houston so I was really surprised at the amount of food for the price also. Will recommend The Catch if you love catfish it's the place to go.

I went there from out of town after a doctor's appt. The catfish was very, very good, but too salty, before I finished the 7th filet. I would have to warn them before another visit. The side rice was not offered with butter, and I was too shy again to mention it. But the service was excellent and I was too hungry, too dead tired, and too shy, which was not their fault.. to give them a chance to correct it, but I will next visit from out of town ... my bad, not theirs ...

I was visiting friends in Nacogdoches, Tx and they wanted fish so we tried The Catch...although I've been to The Catch in Houston this location did not compare to that one at all. The restaurant was clean, the employees were friendly, and the food was great! I absolutely have no complaints!! Oh yeah, did I mention they gave "free" margaritas! Yep, free...they're like in an 8 oz cup but who cares they free and tasted good! Prices were great also...I had the fish strips and shrimp plate and it didn't disappoint! My friend have the fried green tomatoes that are pictured and she loved them. I highly recommend this location in Lufkin, Tx!

First time to order from there. My neighbor gave me a small piece of fried catfish several months back and it was great. Writing this she had ordered catfish strips.I got mine to go which was a mistake. The aroma that filled my vehicle was intoxicating!Luckily what red lights I have to drive through on the way home were all green so didn't have to stop but I still considered gnawing on my arm because the smell was making me extremely HUNGRY!!!!Rushed in the house grabbed the ketchup and dug in.I ordered the filets by accident I meant to get the strips. The filets were kinda soggy and didn't have the same amount of seasoning the piece my neighbor gave me. Perhaps being a strip which cooked faster, had that little extra crispness may have had an effect on the taste.That's why I'm giving a 4 star.The food smelt a little better than its taste.I'll definitely go back and next time I'll be sure to get the strips.

This was our first visit to The Catch after moving to the local area. It is the second "local" restaurant we have gone to. It is a place where you walk in, place your order at the register, then get a flag for your table. On Saturday afternoon, we did not have a wait. We were shockes then learned this is a fairly new restaurant . It really should get a loyal following soon. The food was awesome!!! We had: fried shrimp po'boy, grilled shrimp tacos, fridge catfish plate, crayfish cheesy fries and key lime pie. ALL of it was delicious, and the portions were generous. We definitely felt we got our money's worth! We even had leftovers with our teenage boys! My husband said this will definitely be one of his go-to places for lunch.

This was my first time eating here and I was genuinely impressed with the overall appearance, catfish, shrimp, and the friendliness of the employees. I will definitely go back to try out some more of their fine food. A must visit for anyone traveling to this area.

The service and the food were wonderful. The portion sizes are great for the value, and the staff is so nice and pleasant. The manager, Daniel, checked on us and the cooks on the line always had a smile on their face. 10 out of 10, and i’ll be back for sure.

The Chef at The Catch in Lufkin is amazing!! My sister has allergies to all kinds of pepper so could not eat much there. He cooked her meal special and individually so it would not be touched by anything with pepper and it was delish!! The food is amazing and the staff is too!! I would recommend them to anyone!!

I ordered some shrimp tacos to go and when I got home they literally had two shrimp each in them. I had to take the shrimp from one taco and add to the other to make one full shrimp taco. They were good, but I was definitely disappointed in paying that much for four small shrimp.

Excellent casual dining, friendly, fast service, excellent quality food prepared in a clean open kitchen. The flavors are outstanding! The portions are big and the price is good too. This is the second time I've been and everything I've had so far has been very very good. My Dad agrees. We are definitely coming again!

We were really craving catfish and shrimp tonight. We were greeted with friendly words and faces. Our meal consisted of shrimp, catfish, hush puppies and fries. We finished off with banana pudding for dessert. Serving sizes were very large. The food prepared and presented exceptionally. Everything tasted wonderful and there are leftovers for me.
