We aren’t from Lufkin, but we were in the area on Saturday. I looked up BBQ places and found Wade’s. I can attest that the 5-star reviews are correct! We took home 2 lbs of brisket and a pound of pork ribs, which lasted us for several meals. The brisket was so moist, and the smoke ring/char was amazing. The rib meat fell off the bones. You're just not going to find better brisket in the area. Would be neat if they added some original spicy BBQ sauce options but, with this brisket, it would ALMOST be blasphemous. Not many open hours but that probably doesn't hurt his business as it may add to exclusivity.
