Holy Bacon Brisket! This restaurant is worth the drive from Oklahoma, much less DFW. We got the 3 meat plate with Elote mexican corn, tater salad and an extra side of beans and rice. 2 drinks (tea and soda) and the bill was $54, but enough for 2 middle of the road middle-agers and we had leftovers, so Im not complaining at all. The brisket is top 3 or 4 this Texas girl has had in her life, and the sausage might be #1 with a jalepeno green flavor but little heat, which I like....
They open at 11 but the feed store/boutique opens before11. Which means the line for the wait is indoors! Now to the food. The platters are the best deal and give something of everything. Prices are 34, 70, and 130. For 34$ two people can eat easily. I would suggest adding a quarter lb of pastrami brisket as that is the star of the show. You can also see the pride and friendliness of the owners. Deserving of the top 50.
Been around Texas to about 40 of the top 50 and this place is one of my favorites! The Pastrami brisket was mouthwatering, the sausage was amazing and the regular brisket was cooked perfect with a great char. The ribs, burnt ends and bacon brisket were all savory and cooked to perfection. The Mac n Cheese was so cheesy bursting with flavor and I wish I woulda tried more sides! Overall this place was a 9.8 and I can’t wait to come back and try all the specials!!! A++
