Needed breakfast on our way out of Gun Barrel heading towards Dallas and there wasn't anything quick that wasn't a fast food chain until we bumped into the Texas Donut Shop! Thought we'd stop and give them a try and so so glad we did! The donuts were fresh, soft, fluffy, you can tell they were made daily, and it was just pure gooey deliciousness. Donut holes, the cinnamon twist and the cinnamon bun were all favorites! Bf even said it was the best donuts he's ever had period. Not buts and ands about it. The mini Kolaches, aka pigs n a blanket was also very fresh. Didn't like the sausage, egg breakfast burrito much but it came with a salsa (probably store bought from a jar) but you can tell they were made fresh. I just didn't like the flavor of the sausage. Bf thought it tasted like a donut shop breakfast burrito, as expected. Friendly owners and delicious donuts. We would definitely come here again next time we're visiting!
