Pretty good!!! The brisket was on the greasy end and had no flavor on its own (I prefer not having to drench my BBQ in sauce), but the ribs were excellent and we really appreciated the more unique items on the menu. The buttery Burnt Ends and the (pepper-jelly glazed?!) stuffed Texas Torpedo are definitely some reasons to come back! The prices were quite steep but comparable to any decent BBQ spot with the economy these days lol ($50 for a somewhat filling lunch for 2 people)... But it's certainly convenient and surprisingly good for a grocery store!

My husband and I stopped in for a quick lunch. The portions are big! I ordered the brisket nachos and they were SO good! My husband got a sliced turkey sandwich that came with onions and pickles on the side: he said it was GREAT after he added some barbque sauce to it. They have a happy hour that we were not aware of but glad to hear about. 5 stars!

Real Texas BBQ inside of a Grocery store. Went to HEB but, I was a bit Hungry. So, I stopped to eat at True Texas BBQ inside the store at the entrance. I went in not knowing what to expect. Surprisingly it was a full blown out BBQ Restaurant inside that even offers Ice Cold Glasses of Beer. The menu is Huge Brisket sandwiches, plates dinners, Desserts, and several tasty sides. I ordered the sliced Beef brisket sandwich which if you Texas Size it for $4 more they double the meat to make it even more mouth watering. I also chose a side of Mac n Cheese which was Hot n Creamy but to me a bit salty. I really enjoyed my meal and when I am back through here I plan to enjoy more Texas BBQ!

HUGE PRICE HIKE ON CATERING - I have ordered their Texas Size sides from True TX BBQ catering for our bi-annual hog roast and other events for a while now. Up to Fall '23 most sides were $32 and feeds 24. Now sides like mac & cheese, brisket beans, potato salad are $34 and feeds 12!!!! Peach cobbler went from $24 feeds 24 to $30 feeds 12.That is similar price for HALF the food, HALF the people. 100% increase. I confirmed with the store, they said it was a corporate decision... inflation and all that.Shame, cause our guests liked their food and it seemed like a hold out for decent value. But not anymore.

Great service! Great prices! The food was good! Overall if I'm in the area I'd stop here again! Ordered the brisket baked potato and was not disappointed! A huge loaded potato with moist brisket that should've been two meals! The sausage was ok, but would pass next time. The only downside was I ordered the peach cobbler, but did not receive it. Also my fault for not checking my bag before I left...Overall would return!

Now- you listen up. I drove an hour for this bbq as soon as I found out it was that near me. I've driven 2.5 hours for it in the past to Austin and eaten it outside in the Texas sun. This in my humble opinion is so damn underrated. Easily top 5 bbq place in Texas. Brisket was amazing. Burnt ends terrific! The Texas torpedos fantastic! You gotta try it.
