Decided to try some new BBQ today. We ordered a carry out; my husband went in and ordered the food. I will start by saying the cornbread is amazing!! As far as the BBQ everything was extremely oily which made it hard to enjoy; the ribs, brisket and jalapeño sausage. The sausage skin was inedible, it was a little undercooked for my liking. My family and I stop by here last weekend. We were just looking for someplace different to eat. We were very pleasantly surprised. We ordered the barbecue rib, and brisket. My daughter tried the Briria tacos. All the meats were very flavorful. Good portions and all had good smoke flavor. The beans were excellent in full of flavor as was the cornbread. My first time at Del Toro, but not my last! I loved this simple yet cozy spot. It’s casual and has a cute outdoor area so you can take your dog and they have some kind of game for kids. We stayed inside but it was good to see they had something for kids.
My curiosity was piqued when I saw barbecue tacos on the menu. That’s not something I have had, but my husband has.
