Wanted to drop a quick review of this particular Golden Chick. It's currently Saturday, with the big winter storm pushing through DFW. While I had basic groceries for sandwiches and such, I was really wanting some warm food and since this location is right around the corner from me, I decided to venture out. Even the fraction of mile I traveled had ice road. Almost upon leaving, I figure GC would not even be open but it was! I pulled in expecting some mediocre food that had been under a heat lamp all morning, but that was not the case. I ordered fish and did have to wait a few minutes, only because they made if fresh! I know the employees must hate, having to go in to work in this kind of weather, but even though the the weather is miserable the staff was still friendly and courteous. This was pleasant surprise on a generally unpleasant winter day in Texas.

Golden Chick is my favorite chicken. The staff at the Mansfield TX location always have good customer service. The other day I went and ordered the $6 box with a fried leg and thigh. They had no thighs available. So I asked if I could substitute a different piece, I was told no the management would not allow that. Usually the manager will allow substitutions if they don't have the piece of chicken that you want but they have a new manager and she does not allow it. So I had to just order the 2 piece meal, which was more money. This was bad customer service anyway you look at it. I asked for the manager's name (Milbia) because I wanted to put a review about the bad customer service. I have been going to this restaurant since it was built in my neighborhood. I have never incurred such bad customer service. It is not the customer's fault if they don't have the piece of chicken that the customer request. It takes about 20 minutes for the chicken to be ready and I could not wait that long. I have never incurred this treatment with other managers. I hope that the customer service will improve because we don't like to support businesses with bad customer service.

I always stop at this location when I'm in town they never disappoint food hot fresh great flavor and the lady manager who's in drive thru always service with smile very helpful makes sure I don't forget my jalapeno or extra roll definitely a keeper
I ordered lemon pepper wings. I was surprised, they came out hot and very good. I was told they had been made 30 minutes ago Waited in drive though for over 10 minutes. There was only one car ahead of me.
