For first time in 13 yrs here we were very disappointed, bartender stated OTB was bought out by pappasito's i believe is what she said and the menu was very minimal compared to before, food wasn'tup to par for what we are used to there, Drinks were not great like before, service was fast but not pleasant as bartender cared more for talking with other workers. It used to be a favorite for us but due to changes we wont be back that's for sure.

Wife and I had lunch Sunday the 24th of May 2026. Immediately after the the acquisition of Papasitos, OTB was much better.
Not so much anymore.I was served luke warm enchiladas and the quality was not up to papasitos standards.
Most likely won't return.
OTB will never be PAPASITOS.
Next time I'm in the mood for TEX-MEX... I'll hit up Rosa's.

Friday evening. Got seated right away. Got chips and salsa but it was a while before we got our drinks. Water should be served with the chips. But set that aside, our order was taken and not long we were served. Great portion size. The food was just a bit on the not hot side, almost luke warm. This is not a negative review, trust me...we'll be back. I am just a bit concerned of the lack of a Friday crowd. I hope you guys stay! Im a big huge Papas fan!

On The Border was bought out. While the name remains, everything else has changed. Your favorite drink is gone, and there's a whole new menu. The salsa is new also. The service was fantastic, but it's no longer our favorite mexican restaurant.

Really enjoyed this location. Haven't been to On The Border in almost 2 years. The Beef Fajitas were probably the best I have ever had OTB. Service was excellent and Hubby and I both liked the decor.

This is our first time visiting on the border since getting bought by someone else or whatever happened… we were think the food had to be better - no it was not. They've kept meals on the menu just altering how they are prepared or cooked. They should have taken them off or kept them the same. I asked for extra sauce for my tacos supposed to be on the side and they came, literally dripping out the sides… a little excessive in my opinion. Completely ruined the meal. So sad. I used to love this place :(

My girlfriends and I decided to celebrate cinco de Mayo at OTB, we have all been loyal customers for many years! I even made a post on Mansfield Foodies a couple months ago praising our wonderful bartender. We have our weekly work meeting at OTB every Monday. However, yesterday our service was the worst we’ve experienced at any restaurant. I have managed a couple different restaurants in Mansfield so I am aware of expectations and how to run successful restaurants. For cinco de Mayo, the restaurant wasn’t super busy. Our server Jasmine from the moment we got there was rude, we were an inconvenience to her, the most unfriendly young girl. She treated her small section all very unkind. Some people are not cut out for the service industry and she is one of them. We asked for the manager twice, getting two different ones, before the GM Chris came. He didn’t seem concerned and his customer service was very defensive!
Our experience was so disappointing! There’s too many other great restaurants to support than to choose one with such bad customer service.
