Wine Bars in Marfa

“Morning they sell coffee, bitter and straight-like Marfa itself. Afternoon it's gone. Then velvet lights. Ground beef ragu waits in a shallow bowl, steaming but not loud, sauce thick enough to sin with. Merlot arrives in a glass, no ceremony, tastes of dust and forgiveness. Menu? Changes before you finish chewing. Three nights a week only. And if you look up-real good-stars punch holes through the roof. You won't forget them. Or that mousse, black as the void, sweet as a lie you want. Five stars. Highly recommend.“

“Blink and you may miss this quaint cafe... Mutual Friends' staff is indeed friendly. The team member was flying solo on a busy Sunday morning, and never lost her composure. She was kind, efficient, and pulled a fantastic espresso shot!
The biscuits and jam were in the classic Southern style, and the breakfast tacos were spot on and fresh. Snag the zucchini bread while you're there.
