Small town Mexican restaurant with a really mean carne guisada. The food was super tasty, the service was alright, what more do you want from a small place in the middle of no where.

Love having breakfast here. The family who owns and runs the place makes you feel like family. Interesting tidbit....this was a grocery store at one point and there are still remnants of that history.

was passing thru Mason at lunchtime today & stopped at Rico's. I had never been here before, just wish we lived closer- - I'd quickly become a regular!! this is a clean, friendly restaurant; their food is excellent. I got their Piccadilly Gorditas, a friend had their Green Chicken Enchiladas, another friend got a Beef Fajita Chimichanga. Their complimentary chips & salsa are good. They have a verde salsa that's fiery hot & delicious. Our waiter was busy, but prompt & very attentive. Be sure to order a couple of their mouthwatering, very tasty handmade flour tortillas.

I LOVE going here when we are in Mason. It has some of the best Mexican food around. And the food is authentic, you can see them cooking it! Which is better than most places. I recommend the queso, beef tacos, shredded chicken tacos, nachos, beef fajitas, ect. Basically, everything is wonderful!Vegetarian options: There are so many things on the menu that would be just as good if you just remove the thing you don't want to eat!Dietary restrictions: You can adjust most meals to fit what you need.Kid-friendliness: They have a kids TV and toys. Plus a kids menu at is pretty large and if your kiddo doesn't want that you can adjust a regular item.Wheelchair accessibility: Go right on it and there is plenty of seating options

Super friendly staff, and good food! The red salsa is quite mild, but you mix the green with the red, and it's goooood! Hubby had the beef burrito- not the biggest thing ever, but tasty. We ordered two flour tortillas- homemade- based on a recommendation here, and we're glad we did!I had the green chicken enchiladas and loved every bite. Fresh. Tasty. Affordable. What more can you ask for?

They always take care of us no matter how close to closing time we go in. Good food, great service and always reasonable prices. ?

Great little hometown restaurant! Located off square in a historic renovated grocery store. Several old things- cool fridge door, pictures, flooring, "cooler" display remain in store. Friendly staff. Good food- open kitchen- can see it being made for you! Sweet tea VERY good! Agree with previous reviews- if busy, service can be slow, but worth the wait.

Best Mexican food for the price I've ever been. Try it and be sure to order the homemade tortillas to compliment any entree.

Great food. Not on main drag. Locals know about it but stop by if passing through Mason about 3 blocks north of court house.
