“6 stars! Coffee was great. Food outstanding. People super nice. I'd live here if I could. It is a must if you are in the area. The pictured bread pudding was just made and it was out of this”
“I wish I took more pictures of this charming wine bar! I’m going to have to go back so I can update this reviews with more pictures. The owner was super nice to us and we had really good conversations with him and other guests at the wine bar. We went on Saturday and Sunday, we loved it so much we had to go back. Sunday after church they had a pot luck as well! My favorite place is the piano room where I was able to play my favorite song. Makes me want to learn more songs just so I can play here! :) the wine they served was amazing, I would recommend one but I honestly forgot the name of it. It was a blanc! The backyard is also so cute, not only will I be a regular here, but the cats are regulars too! Locals know them by name. This is a true hidden gem and I’m so glad I have stumbled across this place!”
“I LOVE going here when we are in Mason. It has some of the best Mexican food around. And the food is authentic, you can see them cooking it! Which is better than most places. I recommend the queso, beef tacos, shredded chicken tacos, nachos, beef fajitas, ect. Basically, everything is wonderful!Vegetarian options: There are so many things on the menu that would be just as good if you just remove the thing you don't want to eat!Dietary restrictions: You can adjust most meals to fit what you need.Kid-friendliness: They have a kids TV and toys. Plus a kids menu at is pretty large and if your kiddo doesn't want that you can adjust a regular item.Wheelchair accessibility: Go right on it and there is plenty of seating options”
“Mi Pueblo came in after Covid killed the fine Tex-Mex restaurant that was there before it. I miss my buddy Jr., but I'm really happy with this new place. The Carne Quisada is OUTSTANDING! Al Pastor with nopales is terrific! BTW, I've never had nopales before and I'm glad I took the "risk". They cooked it with the meat and it was scrumptious! IMHO, one of the most important, distinguishing features of good Mexican restaurants are the salsas. The red stuff has to have a nice bite with a little bit of sweet. Mi Pueblo has it nailed! The green salsa is also fantastico! The other thing I look for is how well they prepare Carnitas. I originally tried the Guisada because it was the daily lunch special...and I've been kind of stuck on it. It's THAT good! This week I tried the Al Pastor. It was definately worth having again. I've tried their enchiladas and tacos, both excellent. But I haven't tried their carnitas? What's wrong with this picture? I really must remedy that oversight. The restaurant is clean and inviting. The service is quick and friendly. The portions are good sized and the price is right. Oh, and their sweet tea is properly made Texas style. Give this place a try if you're ever in Kingsland. I'm pretty sure you'll like it.”
“The food was fresh, and the salsa was hot just the way we like it. I had the toquito plate. I really like the lime on the side. I had to order sour cream and guacamole as extra to dip the crispy toquitos into. The drinks are self-service. The service was friendly and helpful. The restroom was acceptable.”
“This place rocks. Super cool people, very friendly, knowledgeable and love to talk about beer ha. They had an IPA with "hop hash" in it... YES! This place has a very made from scratch feel, they make em with love! Good prices and cool merch. They hand can beers to-go by request as well. Also - on the other side of the building a nice lady was selling gyros, Yummy.Keep up the good work y'all!”
“Some of the best berbecue I have had in Texas and the fact that they serve goat makes it even more special as I have not found that anywhere else. My husband did the ordering and said that they had great customere service. They had a one man band playing outside too which made for great ambience. Overall they just deserve 5 stars for everything.”
“Amazing food! Stopped by on Thanksgiving morning while traveling and had the breakfast croissants (both sausage and bacon) and donuts. They're also able to accept card! Overall great place and already looking forward to stopping by again on the way back home!”
“We stop by that afternoon to eat and the food was so good that we had to try the breakfast the next morning. The breakfast was so good and had plenty of food we ended up taking it back home with us to eat the next morning. I wish I lived closer because I would come here all the time.”
“The cafe had specials, as well as a large menu with a variety of choices (breakfast, sandwiches, and Mexican and American meals. The service was very good in spite of all the customers being there. I would recommend this cafe, and will return when I'm in Mason.”
“It was a treat. The food was very good. The only reason I rated the service a 4 is because the waitress didn't follow up after our food was delivered and walked right by us a few times. It wasn't a deal killer. Nothing that a little training won't fix.”
“They were about 30 minutes late and that was late for us! I needed them no later than that time, next time I will will say an hour before I need them as my pick up time, other than that it was great!”
“It was over 102 outside, and I just wanted something cold to drink. I wanted a mango slushy, which they were out of mango, so I got the blue raspberry slushy instead. The ice-cold drink hit the spot. I also picked up a butterfinger blizzard. I had a 30-minute drive home, so at least I would be cool and hydrated along the way.”
“Service was great. Had a nice lunch here on a Saturday afternoon. Caught them near closing time (sorry) so it was pretty empty. Food was good and carrot cake was awesome! Recommend!”
