We were disappointed with our visit, our waitress mentioned new management so hopefully it will improve but the food was thin and seemed like it was scrapped together in a hurry. The other reviews look fantastic so we were surprised!

Just getting out of the house on a sunny Tuesday morn and ol' Blackie, my p'up truck took me to Mason. So I inspected the refurbished Court House and had a light lunch at the Square Dish. The smiling and friendly waitress recommended the Chicken and Dumpling as it was the days special. And was it ever! A square bowl of steaming tender shredded chicken breast, swimming in a scrumptious pool of gravy amongst the light delicious team of dumplings. A delightful and pretty young lady in an apron, I assumed she was the proprietor, inquired about my meal and I was at a loss for praise high enough for the delicious square bowl before me. So I praised with a wimpy "delicious".I will be back soon to try other "today special" because this one was superior!

The staff and customers were constantly staring at us with hateful looks the meat in our food tasted dry and over cooked. Only one waitress was seemingly friendly and cordial towards us.

Service was great. Had a nice lunch here on a Saturday afternoon. Caught them near closing time (sorry) so it was pretty empty. Food was good and carrot cake was awesome! Recommend!

Quiet, plenty of seating, variety on menu was wonderful! Wanted the chicken salad stiff Avocado but they were out, our very bright & friendly server Ashley suggested tuna salad & it was delicious. Thanks Ashley!! My husband had the chef salad and his comment was nom nom nom good um huh & smiles! I also had a cup of the scratch made Tomato Flotentine soup , I cannot remember the last time that flavor tasted this good! NO paste in the soup, just tomatoes, pasta & spinach plus marvelous spices oh yum I'll never forget it. Then we treated ourselves to Carrot Cake baked from scratch again by Mrs Ramon, Co owner of this diners delight. What a marvelous cake, so moist, carrot shreds, nuts and spices were perfect!! Creame cheese icing was devine ❣️ Cannot wait to return to Mason and dine here again!!
Schnitzel was exceptional good! Highly recommend it. Fresh (chef made in house this morning) carrot cake—-So moist and creamy icing. One of us had Chinese chicken salad- the best. I’ve had in a long time. We will definitely be back??

My mother in law took us here for lunch on Saturday. What a great place. The servers we friendly and prompt. The food was truly wonderful. I got a cheeseburger, and it was one of the best cheeseburgers I’ve had. I got the potato salad as a side, and it was just fantastic. Others in our party got the pork special and one got an Asian salad, everyone raved about their mean. These folks have something very special here.

We really enjoyed this place! The food was tasty. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The service was awesome!!! They had very clean bathrooms that were wheelchair accessible. Plus, they have great daily specials!

I do not have the vocabulary to accurately describe how incredible my break fast was here... Pepperwurst 10/10! Honestly one of the BEST potato salads of my life, celery and leek in there I think - awesome!!! Schnitzel is only on weekends, I'll be back.
