The food was good the waitress wasn't, had to get a different waitress to get refills on drinks and then got charged for them when they were all ice, but food was delicious

This is actually a great restaurant with great prices!!! You can get a huge triple stack burger ? ? for less then a small regular Whataburger combo here and it's really good with great flavor I really enjoyed it ! It was packed we went to the side area and they played good music with lots of TV's the service was fast for how packed it was definitely impressed with this place all the people I talked to said all the food was good also lots of people from outta town Alice corpus sinton odem they all said they gladly make the drive to eat at vans !! I can't wait to come back and try more things !! Definitely 5 stars for me this is a nice family owned restaurant that's a hidden gem ? I highly recommend !! You see sonic nearby looking really lonely they have nowhere near as many customers as vans it's always empty at sonic lol local business is always best ??⭐

First time visiting. As of the date of this review I am on a women's retreat with my church. A group of ladies, along with myself, decided to stop in for lunch. I had the pirate Burger and I have to admit it was one of the best tasting burgers I have had in a long time and the price was extremely reasonable. Even the sweet tea was delicious. This is a place you should definitely stop by if you are ever in Mathis, Texas.

We stopped in on a Friday night and they were extremely busy. It took about 20 mins to finally find our waitress to order our drinks and get menus. This place was highly recommended by multiple people so we wanted to try it out. After the crowd started to leave, our waitress explained and apologized that they aren't usually that busy. I understand they were trying to keep up with the busy evening so the waiting didn't really bother me. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Now for the food. Oh man, let me tell you, this is one of the best burgers you'll ever eat locally. They were so good and are now one of my favorite. We definitely want to go back and try this place again on a less busy day.
We had the fried ? mushrooms, and they were excellent. ? The juicy burger was perfectly cooked, and the ? fries were also very good. #foodie #foodporn #yummy

I went in and a waitress brought me a menu and said she would be right back. I sat there another 10 minutes, another couple walked in and she took THEIR order and walked off. So I left. I like Van's, the food is always good but sometimes the SERVICE IS TERRIBLE!
