Ignore Pablo’s review, I was eating there when a when a child threw up all of the floor. Instead of the mother or father picking up the child and taking him to the restroom after he initially threw up. They watched him throw up and then continued to eat, then he threw up not even 2 minutes later in the same spot. The family did not seem to care about their child being sick. One of the family members offered to clean up the throw up and then proceeded to dump a bunch of mop water on the floor and leave. All while the father I assume got mad at the manager. The restaurant was packed with people and servers were running around all night. And the family simply couldn’t take responsibility for their actions. The servers tried to handle the situation best they could and the family was disrespectful

Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious, portions were nice, prices very good. I ordered carry out and waited all of three minutes for my fresh and piping hot food. This is a new go to place for us. The catfish is wonderful!!!!

We were part of a group of 26 that set in room prepared for us. Mike, our server, was attentive to our needs, friendly and efficient. My husband and I shared the the 1/2 pound brisket , fried okra and potato salad. It was delicious and sauce very good.

I order the 2 meat plate. Fajita/sausage with mac&cheese and corn. Mac and cheese was cold and under cooked. The fajita was dry and rubbery. We normally eat at Aces in Mission. But here in mcallen. This place is shit. I will never come to this place again. Im surprised ppl are even coming to this place in mcallen.

Food was good, but found it expensive. Service was friendly, but restaurant was dirty. Walked in during opening and rice can still be seen on the floor and on the tables (I assume from the night prior, because nobody else was in the restaurant), bathrooms wreaked with stinch and dirty (seemed old and outdated). After hearing so much hype in advertising about this place it was disappointing, I'll get the same bbq elsewhere at a much more cheaper price.

I’m very disappointed. I order all the time from this place and I hope they see this. I ask for them to add a little more beans and rice for a $17 meal. They intentionally put even less than what they would originally put. Not sure if this is out of spite! This is the 3rd time this has happened. Go somewhere else where the service and portions are better.

My daughter and I ordered a baked potato with brisket. The potato was not super big, but it was a good size—they put a very generous portion of moist brisket, which was very well seasoned and tasty. Each potato was $13, not bad for what you get. The server was super polite and fast. She went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. I would recommend this place.
