Disappointed by the chocolate croissant. It looked more like a kolache with a handful of unmelted chocolate chips in the middle. It was chewy and stale.
We used to love Breadsmith, but lately the quality has significantly diminished. Bread is stale. Evidently not what it used to be ?? I wouldn’t waste my time nor money supporting this business. Lately it feels like we are just tossing our money away. Bottom line it’s pricey and terrible!!!

Breadsmith in North McAllen is a great place to grab Artisan-stylewarm loaves, or other specialty sweets. The staff is friendly and attentive. My favorite bread is the Dark Rye, Sourdough, and Country Buttertop.The Pumpkin Chocolate loaf is incredible- moist and rich. There aren't a lot of artisan bakeries in the Valley. This bakery is a good option when you are craving homemade bread.
