Upon coming in, there were a couple of men sitting in and there was no music, so it was really quiet. I asked if it was open and the men sitting said yes. My daughter and I were then attended to by a waitress and she was very kind and helpful. The atmosphere was just lacking with it being so silent that my daughter and I can hear ourselves eat. The food itself was good, I'd gotten a plate of huevos rancheros with beans and bacon and my daughter had bacon and egg. Altogether, it was 18 bucks for a couple of breakfast plates and one orange juice. A bit pricy for me as I've been to other local Mexican cafes with lower prices for the same sort of food, but it was alright.

Old 1960's RV park office now a restaurant but the one chef cooks everything perfectly every time. From enchiladas to mole to asado de Puerco he knows them all and the taste is simple, perfect, and satisfying. Very reasonably priced.

Do not get the beef enchiladas from there. They used sandwiches slice cheese. Gross. The botana is good. But don't think I'm going back their again. Tea is good thur. Reasonable prices.
The breakfast here was not great and the service is equally not great.
The breakfast was at good price but the server didn't know what the food came with, I ordered the Huevos Rancheros and for $4.95 you get 2 eggs & refried beans (the bacon was $1.99 extra & the potatoes were either part of the price or free as server didn't know if the plate comes with it).
The eggs were cooked over medium, the salsa for the eggs had a funny taste it had a questionable taste, the refried beans were pretty good, the potatoes were simple but warm, the bacon was crispy but still okay.
The corn tortillas are homemade but the flour are store bought.
Overall I don't see my self returning here and wouldn't recommend the place, the place needs more attention in food, service and design.

Awesome food and happily surprised.
Great food authentic, great service. A little family owned restaurant probably the best in McAllen. Very clean plenty of parking.
Great portions! When I saw the low prices I honestly wasn't expecting a lot of food, but the servings were perfect! I love the beef enchilada plate!
Ordered the carne guisada and a Mexican plate.
Both were well portioned. Very reasonable prices.
Great experience
