Please please by the grace of Jesus can you provide me with the recipe for your lemongrass chicken!? I’m in San Antonio and haven’t had HEB Chinese kitchen in over a decade!!! I’ve never had a better lemongrass chicken.

✨⭐️We went for lunch on Saturday around noon. I had never tried HEB’s Chinese food. I didn’’t know I was going to be in for a real treat. The General Tso was full of flavor and the fried rice was super fried rice. I really enjoyed the visit and the staff was very nice and professional. ✨⭐️

i love eating here definitely my tip if you want the best experience go around 11am right before lunch time because it does get pretty packed but it’s definitely worth the wait. As a college the student the lunch special is definitely affordable and always fills you up.

So I have been eating Spicy Chicken Breast with veggies and white rice every day for the past 11 months for lunch. Not only have I lost 70 pounds, but I have been able to reverse all of my health issues. Another upside is that my entire meal that you see in the picture only cost me $8.00...you can't beat that!!! I should be the Poster Boy for HEB Chinese Kitchen!

The prices are ok, but not much lower than panda. However HEB portion size is way bigger than pandas. A lot of the entrees look really dry (teriyaki chicken) and they don’t offer sauces other than soy and chili. I had to buy a sushi sauce to make the chicken edible. Egg rolls are pretty good, but almost none of the drinks in the fountain worked. Recommend for a quick cheap fix but don’t expect anything amazing .

Horrible food, disgusting to say the least...I ordered two small plates of the general chow chicken and it was so hard... I couldn't eat it..... this Chinese food is cheap and disgusting. Never again.

Have had absolutely horrible luck with Chinese food here in McAllen. I asked several people where they would go and they all directed me towards HEB Chinese food. This is horrible! I got the teriyaki chicken, and there's no teriyaki sauce with it!! They don't even have any! She said it was marinated in teriyaki sauce but I can't taste it. That just seems odd. It's extremely dry and overcooked. The rice is dry does not lump or stick together. The service was amazing as there are like 40 people in line. I love my HEB but I would say I need to try perhaps something else in this buffet. Because the teriyaki chicken was not the thing to eat today.
