Place place to eat in the RGV !!
Amazing Host greeted me, seated me. He walked me through a modifiable menu so I could get Vegan and I ordered the vegan burger with onion marmalade and sub french fries for beet salad . Chips and salsa are free. Saffron tea is great 😃 Melon Aguas frescas amazing 😍 Exciting!!
Food was absolutely amazing. Provenza smash Burger with mushrooms. burger meat was so tender and almost creamy not greasy at all. a I usually feel so bad after eating heavy burgers but not here. We also had the most amazing appetizers Brie and bread with steak and onions that’s was like a burst of flavors in my mouth so amazing. and can’t rave about this place enough, service was top tier, very welcoming and the atmosphere was so warm , music was such a vibe. 10/10 recommend you come here

Absolutely incredible restaurant! “Incredible” honestly doesn’t do it justice. I’ve never experienced a place that delivers such excellent (10/10) food, service, and hospitality all at once like Diego’s. The steak tacos were outstanding and easily some of the best I’ve ever had. Coming all the way from California, I am extremely happy to claim that this is my favorite restaurant in the Rio Grande Valley.

Ordered the marmalade starter, bread was NOT crisp extremely soggy, my only complaint there.. ordered the mighty burger and the patty was NOT seasoned tasted fresh but lacked flavor.. my biggest complaint was the service our waitress literally took a solid 45 minutes to take our order she kept walking past us like we weren’t there and the food took FOREVER to show up and I had noticed that people who arrived after us got theirs first.. I couldn’t even ask for different bread or tell my waitress they forgot additions to the burger because she was never there..we were there for a good 3 hours not even exaggerating because the service took so extremely long even with charging us.. The Beet salad was really good though that’s about it

I stumbled upon this restaurant casually back in November, and since then, I’ve visited it about 30 times. Every single experience has been nothing short of exceptional. The food here is incredibly delicious and always fresh! It’s clear that the quality of ingredients is a top priority, and we see this in every single bite.
However, the food is just one part of what makes this place so special. The service is truly exceptional. The attention to detail is remarkable, and it’s evident that the staff genuinely cares about creating a wonderful dining experience. The owner is incredibly personable, always greeting guests with warmth and familiarity. Their ability to remember everyone and make each person feel valued adds a personal touch that’s hard to find elsewhere.
Dining here feels less like a restaurant experience and more like visiting family. The atmosphere is inviting and friendly, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy good food. Each visit brings the excitement of trying something new from their menu that is always changing. It never fails to impress.
If you find yourself in the area, it would truly be a crime not to stop by and eat at this gem. It’s not just about the delicious food; it’s about the entire experience that leaves you feeling cherished and satisfied. I can't recommend it enough!

Diegos Food Truck is AMAZING! From the ambience, service, food/drink quality is top tier. Diego, the owner, is very down to earth, knowledgeable in his craft, and is passionate about his business! We can see his craftsmanship, dedication and enthusiasm, it truly is heartwarming to see a buisness owner taking so much pride in their dream. We will continually come here for every celebration and girls nights out!! 1000/10

We finally got the opportunity to stop in today to check out this restaurant that we had been trying to get to for some time.
The wait staff got quite busy just after we got there though it did not look to be short staffed. Several times we had to call out to get their attention, but basically they did good job.
My friends had the lobster roll and they loved it even though their fries were cold.
I had the vegan burger, Recommended by our waiter, Danny.I have to say it’s probably one of the worst I have ever had. Not only was it soft and Tasteless, it was Burned on the bottom. The bun Was very dry and crumbled all over when I tried to cut it. My fries where cold also.
When I told our waiter about this, she did say that they would make me another one which I refused. My friend asked if I would get a discount since my food wasn’t up to standard, she simply said “no”.
After the things I have read about the food truck and then the restaurant, I was really looking forward to the dinning experience, sorry to say I was very disappointed !

Great experience, food has a lot of flavor, the size it’s perfect.
There’s something special about a burger that captivates the soul and I just ate one. It’s not that it was grilled perfectly. It’s not that the onions were caramelized. It’s not that the meat tasted flavorful and juicy. It’s not the bun you think I’m doing it right this is a straight up experience if you haven’t had one take the time it’s amazing. #FatLivesMatter.
We recently visited Diego’s Food Truck and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. Our party ordered chilaquiles, a burger, a bacon egg and cheese sandwich, and hibiscus lemonade.
One major issue was the lack of clarity on the menu. The chilaquiles were listed simply as steak chilaquiles, but the description did not mention that they come with eggs or queso fresco. The server also never asked how we would like the eggs cooked. Since we had two pregnant women in our group, this was especially concerning because runny eggs and queso fresco are foods they need to avoid during pregnancy. The eggs on the chilaquiles were very runny, which made them nauseous and unable to eat the dish.
Similarly, the egg in the bacon egg and cheese sandwich was also runny and again, no one asked for a cooking preference. The hibiscus lemonade was extremely bitter and not enjoyable. The burger was okay, and thankfully that was the only item without issues.
Overall, no one even ate a quarter of their plate. What made the experience worse was the lack of customer service, staff could clearly see that our food was mostly untouched, yet no one came to check on us or ask if everything was okay. When we requested the check, there was still no follow-up or concern shown.
Unfortunately, due to the food quality, lack of menu transparency, and poor service, this is not a place we would return to.
