I tried to like this place and as someone who knows how to cook unfortunately this place isn’t to my standards. I had at first the crawfish but it was EXTREMELY mushy and smelled bad I called the restaurant and they confirmed the cook overcooked them and offered me a $20 Credit to use in the future. Which I appreciate since the crawfish was genuinely not edible I threw it away but doesn’t explain why it smelled bad if it was just overcooked? Well I gave it another chance came back and ordered the blackened shrimp Alfredo pasta with a dirty sampler of shrimp stuffed jalapeños, thinking I would pay the difference since I had a credit of $20 and wanted to try something different as well. Well the credit wasn’t applied since I had to let them know beforehand that I wanted to use my credit so I paid full price and was told the credit is still there for next time I live in Edinburg so this isn’t a small commute for me. Regardless though the sampler was so greasy and made the breading soggy and the shrimp used was hard again extremely overcooked. The Alfredo pasta same thing shrimp was overcooked and sauce for Alfredo was disgusting it had no real flavor super greasy, the best part was the bread which was store bought. I still have the $20 credit but I dont even want to try the food again I will post pics of the pasta I had.

We have eaten here several times and it had been some time since we had been here since our last couple of experiences were underwhelming. This past Sunday my wife and I were really impressed with the improvement in quality and service. The food was phenomenal and although there was a slight mistake on my order as I ordered a fish and shrimp combo they corrected it immediately and brought me my fried fish portions. My wife ordered the Mosette plate as this is a favorite of her's from Pelican Station and it too was very delicious. The seasonings they use are so flavorful you will not be disappointed. I'm assuming they brought on new management but whatever they are doing keep up the hard work. We will be seeing you all again soon!

The service was great! The waitstaff was very kind and attentive despite what seemed to be a manager rudely barking orders at them. He even whistled to get their attention. He was definitely a downer in the entire experience.

Very expensive, thought it was like the Al's at SPI but not the same food. The only wish I had was that they'd carry the same delicious food they do at the Island. It's 9-29-24 I'm going to say the presentation on them plates don't even look appetizing to me they look like they just throw your food on there and for the prices they have id rather go to Gordon Ramsay restaurant neat and outstanding presentation. I wouldn't even spend a buck there.

Isaiah made the trip All the way from Austin worth it!! His customer care is outstanding. He didn’t have to be asked to do anything, he’s a natural. He treated us like VIP GUESTS!! If there was a way to give him 10 stars it would be done!! I have another trip to the Rio Grand Valley in October, I plan on requesting Isaiah.

Wanted to visit a few times before writing. Staff have been very helpful and friendly, from the moment I walk through the doors, til the moment I leave. Restaurant is super clean, and the place is nice! Every single dish I ordered has been delicious! The flounder filet I got on first visit was cooked to perfection, and my 2nd visit we ordered the grilled fish botana. It was absolutely fantastic! Grilled fish and shrimp that has been far more delicious than most other restaurants nearby! It's truly like getting the taste of fresh SPI fish in North McAllen! Wonderful choice for the whole family and get togethers!
