foodamed was an all time favorite of mine when i went to mcallen texas! the pancit was epic! the music was family friendly, the scenery was just lovely, & the staff was way friendly! the soups are also fabulous! so healthy & filling!

The service was terrible. The girl working the front (Miranda, I think?) was incredibly rude and lacked customer service skills. I asked basic questions about the menu and she seemed annoyed with me the whole time. Which is a shame because I was very excited to try this place. The two cooks in the back, though, made up for this as they were super kind! They had very positive energy.The food itself is 4/5, the price is actually fairly good for a vegan restaurant. It doesn’t taste like the food is trying to be its non-vegan counterpart. It tastes homemade and healthy- which I personally liked. I wouldn’t take my non vegan friends here to convince them to go vegan, though. For that I would take them to Green Owl Deli or María Cruz as the vegan food does replicate its non-vegan counterparts taste.Foodamed is definitely a unique vegan cuisine experience unlike others here in Mcallen. You can taste the vegetables and real ingredients in the food which is great! Yummy food if you are a vegan who is eating here with an open mind of new flavors. The place is very pretty and it shows that there’s a lot of passion invested in this restaurant! So glad I stopped by.

What a great place for a delicious meal! I got the spaghetti with meatballs, vegan? Could’ve fooled me! It was so delicious! My husband got the ranchero tacos, also delish, and my daughter got the açai bowl with watermelon juice as a drink. ????Service was very kind and informative, very clean atmosphere. I think this might become one of our regular spots. ?

The Foodamed nachos and buffalo cauliflower wings are my favorite appetizers. The Chile relleno and tex mex plate are really good too.
Today I had the jalapeño burger and fries and loved it. The fries are real potatoes not freeze dried.
They don't use a lot of salt , but you can ask for salt to add
The desserts are great, especially the cakes and banana bread.

I traveled to McAllen for work and was surprised to see a fully vegan restaurant deep into South Texas. Everything was incredible, from the food and juices that were delicious to the friendly staff that made us feel at home. 10/10 would recommend to anyone in McAllen (even to non-vegans)!
Great food! My favorites are the açaí bowl, chickpea curry, the tofu curry, sweet and sour tofu, the jalapeño burger, pancit, lentil soup, the spaghetti with meatless meatballs(definitely to die for!), sweet potato fries (yum!!!). All their food is great! I highly recommend it! One of my favorite places to order out/eat!
