It was amazing. All the from the great service to the great tasting food and homemade pasta. All flavorful. The manager even sent someone to get us a baked Alaskan desert from the sister restaurant. Full stop. Love it. Mark D

From the person that greeted us, to the person who bid us farewell; the service was just 5-star. It was my daughter's first visit and absolutely loved the food. Thank all you guys!

Food was so salty I could not eat it. It was a super busy night so I didn't dare ask for it to be corrected. Service was great - when she could be found. Overall will not return.

My husband and I were in town visiting family & we stumbled across House.Wine.Bistro in looking for a place to have a quick drink …. And man, we are SO happy we did!Chantelle & Ethan at the bar were so welcoming and made the absolute best recommendations for both food & drinks. We had such a great time on our first visit, we quite literally returned less than 24 hours later for our Saturday night dinner! The Owner & Chef, Larry, came out and introduced himself - you can tell he & his team take great pride in everything they do… truly the embodying the definition of hospitality. We cannot recommend enough House. Wine. Bistro. On top of the amazing hospitality, the homemade pasta is quite simply something you dream of —If you are in the area, it is a definite “must” — we already cannot wait to visit again (:

We stopped going because we couldn't hear ourselves talk ! No one could. But last night was great. Also, the wait staff gave wonderful recommendations for a very satisfying meal!! They were also very attentive!

House Wine & Bistro in McAllen is an absolute gem! I've been coming here for the past 10 years, and it's always been a hit.During my recent visit, our group enjoyed an exceptional dining experience. We ordered a variety of dishes, including the grilled panela, putanesca risotto with pan-seared salmon, lamb chops, ribeye, and pesce risotto. Everything was outstanding. The only minor hiccup was that the putanesca risotto was a bit on the salty side, but the staff was quick to address the issue, exemplifying their commitment to customer satisfaction. This level of service truly sets House Wine & Bistro apart. And, I can't forget to mention that the Italian donuts were absolutely amazing - the perfect sweet ending to a fantastic meal. To complement our meal, we ordered a bottle of Susana Balbo Malbec, which paired beautifully with the dishes. If you're looking for a reliable spot for excellent food and a delightful dining experience, House Wine & Bistro is the place to be. Ten years of consistently great visits speak volumes about the quality and excellence you can expect here. Five stars all the way!

Getting to a table is challenging as the tables are so close they leave little to no room to walk thru. We sat at a round table for ten, it was difficult to have a conversation due to it being too loud due to other patrons. We were served a five course meal, the servers were very knowledgeable and friendly. I was not impressed with the pairing given every wine was too sour. Possibly this should be an acquired taste. Cheese and charcuterie was great, insalata was good except wine was too sour for me, the antipasto salmon was good a little on the salty side, the wine was too sour, the grilled picanha was delicious, the wine was much better than previously served wines, the pork chop Marsala was a low grade cut of pork, too much uneatable fat embedded in the pork, wine was OK, the cookie dough was too dry, the Kahlua gran marinier was so strong I couldn't drink it.

My wife and I came here for our wedding anniversary dinner. My wife is celiac, so I had called in advance to make sure there would be gluten free options for her. They were very accomodating. The manager (Ken) even went to buy gluten free pasta and bread that afternoon to make sure my wife had options. Moreover, the food was amazing! We will for sure come back to try the other items on the menu.
