Unfortunately had to downgrade this rating. The place has been dirty, dirty and dirty. Salad bar dirty. Ice cream bar, dirty. No iced tea. Hair on one of the sandwiches. Gonna skip this place for awhile.

I love Jason Deli. My problem started when I saw the worker spraying glass cleaner. Over the salad bar. As I was attempting to make by big back salad. Then it preceeded to decline further when I saw her take the salad that was all over the counter and toss back into the salad bar🤢🤮 Seriously. So then I asked her if she was going to add more boiled eggs since there was only two. She looked at me with a straight face and said. That is enough for you. She said there is a two egg minimum. I said girl if you don't bring more eggs out. I literally spent 25 dollars on my salad. If I want 3 eggs I'm getting 3 eggs. Any way she whipped her hair to the side and put more eggs out. I told her thank you. And then I started thinking why is your hair all out around this food🤮🤢 y

unfortunately this location on N. 2nd St is a hit or miss. Today is a Miss. Arrived at home & OMG my $3.19 Mac & cheese looks like someone’s leftovers.

The host Ruby gave the most disrespectful and hostile service to my mom while she ordered. It was my moms first time dining in and ordering. She was impatient and very rude. The transaction was made at 2:33. 7/14/25. Order number 63. I was not present for the order and was furious when my mom let me know. For a family friendly restaurant your employees sure are not happy to serve. Hating your job is one thing Ruby but acting in a disrespectful manner because you don’t know patience when handling customers is a whole other thing. An apology is well deserved for the horrendous behavior and service
Normally, I would give this restaurant a better rating, but I got the wrong order and I was told that I would be charged extra if they were to add the item I originally asked for. Never heard of such a thing—-restaurant makes mistake, customer pays to fix it? We dine in at least 1-2x a week bc my kids love it here, but this just left a bad impression.

We love JD and this restaurant in particular on 2nd Street in McAllen. Always clean, food is perfect! However, yesterday’s visit was not good. There were many dirty tables and the floor was dirty and wet. This was not rush hour? This was at 6:30pm. They were also out of 1000 dressing, out of straws, out of vanilla cones. This has never happened??? Is it under new management? Hope this was a one-time problem…
