Roberto was excellent and well knowledgeable in the food options and even let us try it before we purchased. The tempura on the shrimp and sesame chicken was perfect. 4 stars for the atmosphere due to being in the mall and not Kumori’s fault.

We ordered two sushi rolls (paid $28) and were only given one set of sauces (spicy mayo, red sauce, and soy sauce). Went back to ask for other set of sauces for second roll i paid for and the guy says “you know you can just ask for them right?, here I’ll EVEN give you two” Gee thanks, maybe include them how you should have in the first place, or is management asking yall to skimp on stuff? Watch how they make the sushi’s, look how I got the Chester Roll

The food was so so so bad and it was made to order , we got beef and broccoli and it was horrible tasted like just plain soy sauce it was salty I didn’t eat it , the crab salad was ok but the cucumber to crab ratio was terrible, it was maybe two pieces of crab and the entire container was cucumber and not a lot of sauce . The young man helping us was so nice tho very helpful and friendly but we won’t be returning

Overall the restaurant was okay. It is not like the traditional Kumori experience, possibly not even the same food grade. The food was mediocre at best. I’d gotten a good variety of food including the fuzu shrimp with white rice, the sunomono salad and a spicy tuna onigiri. The shrimp was DRENCHED in sauce that was overly sweet. The sunomono salad just tasted like plain sliced cucumbers instead of having that distinguishable sweetness from traditional rice vinegar and sugar combinations. The onigiri was tasted okay but the rice was somewhat dry. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t come back here or recommend it to others. Save your money or go to the actual kumori restaurant instead.
