1st, my wife and I really enjoyed the service. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The restaurant was very clean and the ladies did a great job of staying ontop of the cleanliness of the tables. I ordered the menuedo and was very disappointed. I ordered the 32oz and more than half of it was just the juice. Very little substance in the bowl. The menuedo is at a premium price, which I don't mind paying for great food, but one would think that they would make sure that it had a quality amount of substance in it, but didn't. I've have never been this disappointed in a serving of menuedo or lack of, and I've eaten menuedo everywhere in Texas. We also ordered the gorditas and they were good. I will say that the flour tortillias paired extremely well with the juice of the menuedo.

la chula express has such a great atmosphere it feels comfortable and welcoming the moment you walk in. the food is a really special reminder of home and honestly tastes like my grandma’s cooking, which makes it even better. the service is amazing too the workers are so kind and welcoming, it makes you want to come back again. i would definetly recommend this to anyone coming to visit the valley.

I wasn’t able to go to Mexico for celebrations this year, so I was really craving that home style - Hispanic home - made by grandma - style menudo. Yall, this place is it! The menudo here is so good and very reminiscent of my childhood in Nuevo León. A very clean menudo with just the right amount of flavors that you can build on with all the garnishments they provide. It’s not super cheap, but you don’t want your menudo to be! Will be back.

Very well served! Every single dish has such an amazing taste!! Such homemade quality with every bite! The service was amazing by the Owners daughter. She was very attentive to any of our needs. And the ambiance was calm and our food all came out very fast! I highly recommend this place, This place is worth a try and many more visits afterwards. The menudo is probably the best menudo I've ever tasted!

Food is amazing and the customer service is exemplary. Breakfast tacos are so filling and their gusados are delicious. Dont skip their handmade tortillas and amazing tamales. This place never fails to exceed my experlctations with their food.
Food is great!! Just don't attempt to place a phone order!!! Several times I've called and the lady always hangs up on you!!!! Maybe she didn't know English. So I spoke Spanish, and she still didn't understand and hangs up on me!!!
