Came to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and she was looking forward to the molcajete food choice so we ordered one also. When we got our food they brought it in these black plates because apparently they ran out of the molcajete’s that alone was a disappointment due to us looking forward to that , then the worst part was that our food was cold!!!!! The waitress was not attentive and my daughter told her it’s my birthday today and she didn’t seem to care! I don’t recommend this place at all and if you do come demand you want the molcajete if that’s what you ordered food probably would have been hot! Came for the experience apparently that this place was great “ it was an awful experience “!

I really don’t understand how this place has more than 3 stars in general. I’m assuming it’s because people in the valley don’t truly understand how seafood is supposed to taste like or understand the quality of food should be more important than the presentation of it. I must admit they make their dishes look very nice but the quality of the food… it was disgusting. The sauces , spices, everything was just horribly constructed. You can tell whoever made the menu just experimented with food. Again, any type of food establishment in the valley is going to thrive, you don’t have to be good at it. This place is a great example of that. To the owner: You need to start listening to the 1 star reviews more. You are getting way too comfortable listening to people who have a very low standard in taste and just give you 5 stars.

The truth is that they go overboard with the prices. I ordered some governed tacos and they were mini tacos and about almost 35 dollars and super bad service, they didn't bring napkins or salt, the shrimp was super burnt.

I was in heaven... the food was ecstasy to my mouth... way better than Ambra... and you actually don't have to share a bathroom with the opposite sex... that's just gross... no offense to the opposite sex... but the bathroom at LA Costa could use some renovation and a bit more polishing to match the rest of the high quality... brutally honest review.. sorry not sorry.. support local..
