Hi, I’m reaching out because I ate at the LongHorn Steakhouse on North 10th Street in
McAllen, Texas on November 12 around 9:00 PM, and shortly after eating I became very
sick.
My order was:
• Flo’s Filet 9 oz
• Asparagus
• French Fries
• Strawberry Salad
Within 30 minutes of finishing my meal, I experienced severe nausea, vomiting, stomach
pain, and diarrhea. These symptoms came on very rapidly, which made me concerned
there may have been an issue with food handling or contamination.
I wanted to report this so the restaurant can look into it and ensure no other diners get
sick.

I come here often and usually have a great experience, but this visit was honestly horrible. Our server, Markus (he had glasses), was extremely rude from the start. He basically tossed the coaster onto our table and spoke to us in a loud, rushed tone, almost like he was yelling while pushing us to order. His attitude was obnoxious and completely uncalled for.Not even five minutes after our food arrived, while I wasn’t even halfway done, he came back asking if we were ready for the check. It felt like we were being rushed out the door for no reason.

I dined at this location tonight, and immediately had to write this review. I am not normally a steak person but I wanted to try something new and was very pleasantly surprised! My server was Gabby and she made my experience 100 times better. One of the most attentive servers I have had the privilege of meeting. Food was very good, and Gabby made sure of it! Awesome service!!!

The male host was horrible. He brought me to the restrooms even though there was plenty of space elsewhere. When I found my sister and mom, they were also sat by the kitchen door. Very rude and disgusted by this place.

Where to start. On 11/13/25
1st. We waited over am hour for our food. The restaurant was not that busy for that long of a wait. The tables all around us were eating 20 to 30 minutes before is. Seems like our order was not put in timely.
2. I has ordering ice tea was Flies floating in it. Showed the manager and got a quasi apology. I didn't ask for a discount on my bill because any manager worth their salt would have discounted the table without being asked. Guess tonight manager was out of salt.
3. When our food finally came one of the dinners was wrong. So we had to wait another 25 minutes for the right order to be refired. The server she put the wrong entrée in.
4. I ordered Cheesecake with strawberries 🍓. I got Strawberry Shortcake. Server said she heard me say Shortcake even after I repeated cheesecake 3 times to her.
Tonight was definitely not worth $112.69. I was very disappointed that after the fly incident I didn't receive a discount. Word of warning check your drinks for floaters. Deser Rae need to listen better and repeat orders.

This place is cold.. not bc you guys work and run and move around alot.. means we are cold.. also don't put the bartender to be a waiter busy at bsr.. poor customer svc refills not even offered bad bad svc need a better mgr to be on point and checking tables help on what's lacking

Service was awful, from the man that sat me down very rude, to the waiter that kept ignoring me and would not ask if I needed some more water. He charged me for tea when again I had water. I left him tip only bc my friend gave me the money for her tea that she had not me, i drank water. Several times I had to raise my arms so he would pay attention. There wasn't that many customers 🙄 I left recipe with his $5 cash tip on it. I wrote on receipt; you charged me for tea, I drank water. He was just not paying attention. Very disappointed and will never return. Sylvia
