I ate here today while I was visiting for work, stopped by on a whim. IT WAS AMAZING!! I almost cried when I ate my food it was so delicious. And the server who helped me was so lovely, made a wonderful recommendation. I am absolutely coming back anytime I am in the area!

Just had an unforgettable meal at Maria Cruz Restaurant & Bar, a beautiful plant-based spot in the heart of Downtown McAllen, Texas! Their Plato Casado was next-level — tender plant-based bistec with potatoes in rich tomato broth, served with rice, beans, a fresh lime-dressed salad, and sweet plantains topped with queso fresco & cream. Every bite was full of Southern Mexican flavor!
Huge thanks to Angela for the amazing service and warm hospitality — she truly made the experience special. At Maria Cruz, you can taste the passion and love in every dish. Can’t wait to go back! 🌱🌮❤️
