🌿moonbeans coffee shop has such a warm and welcoming coffee shop, The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with cozy comforting aroma of freshly brewed coffee. The space feels clean, calm, and thoughtfully decorated, making it the perfect place to unwind, read, or get some work done. The staff are always kind and upbeat, which adds to the positive vibe. Such a lovely little haven! ☕✨

Just visited the new location off Schunior. The interior design is beautiful and lively and the self service kiosk has finally been replaced by the someone who can help you. Service is still really lacking and somewhat threatening. The espresso is still not good despite the La Marzocco. Please train your baristas to be nicer. It makes all the difference in the world.

Coffee is good, but if you order a pour over with at least one other person expect to wait half an hour. They prioritize other drink orders over pour overs. Second time in two days that we've had to wait forever. They need more staffing especially for the morning.

I used to frequent this spot all the time but ever since they lowered the hiring standards the coffee quality and service has really gone down and can be very inconsistent. Just not what it used to be. They used to be open late too which was perfect for late night studying and used to host a lot more fun events.

Delicious hot chocolate with an espresso shot and peaceful atmosphere to work from home or do school work as you have a coffee.

NEW FAVORITE COFFEE SPOT
The new spot on Schunior near UTRGV was definitely what this place needed. Big difference from old location. So welcoming and homey, & baristas were super helpful. College students get 15% off discount so my total was very affordable compared to other coffee shops. Ended up getting their big dipper, a vanilla latte 10/10. Will definitely be back. ❤️

Staff is moody whenever I have been and this place is always cutting down other local businesses in the community. Their coffee is no where good enough for them to act like it’s a privilege to be and order there.

Service was great and I loved the no pressure check out process. You get to order what you want straight from one of two kiosks. You have time- with no pressure- to look at their menu and options. Ordered a hot French vanilla coffee with almond milk. They do have milk alternatives. Coffee flavor was good but the French vanilla flavor, not so much. The French vanilla flavor took away from their in house grounded coffee beans. Not sure if it was the brand of French vanilla or what, but I did not care for it. I did not take a picture of the coffee cup because it is a basic coffee cup that several other local coffee businesses use, there's no customized logo on it. There are plenty of seats both inside and outside. The vibe of this place is, in my opinion, eerie and unsettling...personally not my type of vibe. More than likely will not be back.

I love spending my free time in between classes here. The coffee is great, atmosphere cozy and perfect if you really need to focus on your work. Everyone here is so nice and welcoming! I strongly recommend this place to anyone who wants to read a book, chat with friends or just complete work/school assignments (internet speed is amazing too!)

This place used to be a great coffee shop. Coffee is so inconsistent now. Place is falling apart. Poorly run business.

Baristas were amazing, but man has this place gone downhill in the past year. It used to be my favorite place, but not anymore. Drinks were inconsistent the second one I got tasted like watered milk with coffee at first and then turned to soured milk taste (gave me an upset stomach), the first one tasted good, but not what I ordered. Hours have been changed and they now close earlier, which was one of its selling points for me. Back seating area is dark and dingy.

Moonbeans is a shell of its former self. I grew up coming here when they were at their old location and have some great memories from there.

The current location is practically falling apart. The seats are uncomfortable and sometimes broken. The lighting is awful and grim. There are few outlets for studying and working. The patio area is dirty. There is zero decor. Bathrooms are often out of order. On top of that, their coffee is no longer enjoyable and is overpriced. The owner is extremely rude and I've heard former workers complain about his treatment towards them. Now, they have a Wi-Fi limit. I've been to coffee shops in Austin that implement a limit, but these coffee shops actually have good coffee and drinks, comfortable seating, and a great atmosphere. Moonbeans doesn't have any of that.

It used to be that this was the only good coffee shop in town, but now there are plenty of amazing coffee shops in the Valley, so skip this one. I hope Moonbeans goes out of business and a newer, better coffee shop takes its place.
