Hey everyone! Just had an amazing dining experience at Oak in McAllen. The bar & grill atmosphere was so chill, and the food was mouthwatering. I had their tacos and it was perfection! The staff was super friendly and made the whole experience even better. Definitely recommend checking it out if you're in the area!

Will definitely not be visiting this establishment anytime soon due to how they treat their visitors with disabilities. I went to eat my birthday dinner Saturday and happened to have my trained service dog. He was wearing a very visible vest that identified him as a service animal only to have a full on interrogation thrown at me by a member of their staff. I explained he was a fully trained service animal that aided with my disability but he basically called me a liar and went above and beyond to make me uncomfortable. I held my ground and he ended up printing out some random sheet to which I replied again with the rights we have under the ADA. The entire situation was uncalled for and handled without an ounce of professionalism. Very disappointed!

Bad attitude and discrimination from the security guy in denim since we arrived, he did not receive or give a table to my partner or friends because we are gay, we have been coming to Oaks for years and they had never been like that with us until we spoke to the police when we were never aggressive or anything with them, their attitude was so personal, they can't have people like that in their business when more than half of their clients are LGBT, just because I go to the bathroom with my partner doesn't mean anything, that's discrimination
