I have eaten here twice this week and both times I was satisfied and they cooked my onions exactly the way I wanted them, carmilized NOT burnt. I was satisfied with the price point and the eating area was very clean. I am not from the area and would return next time I am in town.

Sometimes we want Mexican but don't want to dress up and certainly don't want to dine indoors during COVID. It's nice to get good Mexican by a drive through. The menu is rather limited but if you want tacos this place is for you. Good refried beans as well. Fast easy ordering.

It took me a couple of minutes to find this place. I ordered the shrimp fajitas and they were delicious! The onions were perfectly done and the shrimp had a nice char but were not over cooked. 4 fresh flour tortillas were just right. The refried beans served with the chips hit the spot. The salsas were on point. The charro beans had great flavor. I am glad I chose this place to try as I am here on business. Definitely will return anytime I come back to the area. Friendly and attentive waitstaff. 5 stars from me!

This is not the palenque grill of before. We ordered the prime paridalla for four thinking for $115 it would feed 4. The prime meat was a 12 oz ribeye, by no means is that enough for 4 people. I called the manager over snd explained that this was unacceptable for the price especially when I could have ordered three 12 oz mar y Tierra plates for less. She attempted to make it right by bringing additional meat, but they brought what appeared to be maybe an 8 oz ribeye. For the price we paid we were completely disappointed. Not sure we'll be going back.

I love the food here. The enchilada verdes are my fave. Haven't been coming in person just pick up or door dash. But it is a very nice place.

Had the best server. food was delicious. service was 10/10 our server even ran out to give us our takeout we were forgetting. she was amazing- her name was Yarelli. best server I have ever had in a restaurant. she was also so nice and would go back just to be served by her.

I have visited in the past other restaurants of the same chain but this is the first time I have felt so uncomfortable. To start with, the restaurant's entrance is on the pedestrian side which makes it so uncomfortable and unsafe to walk towards it when raining. This, unfortunately, happened to us. On the other hand, the restaurant is packed with cameras that make you feel uncomfortable and stressed. You really want to feel relaxed when you enjoying your dinner and not that who knows who is watching at you eating. The waiter was on the rude side and made us feel uncomfortable like rushing us to finish. I ordered The tampiquena with a ribeye. I have never had eating so much fat in life. I know that the ribeye has normally an amount of fat but this particular one was the winner!! I do not believe I am going back to that restaurant anymore. After all these experiences, time to look for some other place to have dinner.

Love Palenque Grill. The tacos are delicious and I also love the street corn. Of course the chips, beans & salsa they bring you before the meal are SO delicious. Sometimes I go just for beer, chips, beans and salsa!

The food taste great, not too greasy for me. The chipotle chicken was spot on! Caldo tlapeño is amazing, the parrilladas are delicious. This place is good all around.

The waiters were great but....the food was terrible for the price point. I ordered the tacos gobernador, which come with butterflied shrimp. Instead I got what looked like rice with cheese in the taco..... for $19!! Luckily my waiter was very nice and gave me ONLY two tacos (the order came with 4) with the correct way it was supposed to be prepared (as per the description). My son ordered the kids burger and the patty came at a 1/4 of the size of the bun..... it was ridiculously tiny! And it's not cheap . Never had a good experience, not even when at the old location in south McAllen. Manager didn't come out at all to help. My waiter was kind enough to help take care of everything.

We happened to be shopping nearby and decided to give this place a try. We were not disappointed! The food was awesome! We had ceviche as a starter and the rib-eye tacos for dinner. We also had the dessert sampler! It was all amazing! I'd probably just have the tres leche cake if I was to just pick one!!

We had never been here before, but were pleasantly surprised at how good the food was and how pleasant the staff were during the Covid-19 epidemic. The menu was a little difficult to understand if you have not been there before as far as sizes and how everything comes, but the staff again, were helpful to explain everything. The food was delicious and they were enforcing the distance rules. We all said we'd happily return. Pleased that they were able to be open during Covid-19.
