I try to come to the jazz event stuff. It's really nice listening to the live music in the outside area. The burgers we had here were great. The chips with cheese on the other hand weren't that good. I wouldn't get those again for sure. Last time we were here I got a fly in my beer still full glass. And the manager said that if I wanted a new one, that I would have to pay for a new one. Which dulled the experience a bit not gonna lie but the server was so nice for giving us coasters to cover the drinks after that. That was pretty sweet of her. Her service was the best.
I went there for lunch on April 3, 2024, with reviews of 4.5. I thought I was safe... wrong. The food made me sick, not just sick but violently I'll. I had the Rubin sandwich with potato chips, a pickle, and water. I also had the chips and queso. The chips and queso were the worst I even had, and I'm from Austin. I worked in a restaurant another lifetime ago. I know my chips and queso. I can make better queso with velveta and a can of rotel. On top of all this, when you call and get their outgoing message, it never identifies this as Roosevelt's 7. We were told that the name Steve on the outgoing message was a manager who worked there 5 months ago. Basil is the general manager who didn't seem to care much. Nobody seems to care.

I had the Roosevelt Club and it was delicious. The service was friendly and fast. There is a ton of cozy outdoor seating. We held a small event here and everyone enjoyed it.Parking: There are a limited number of spots in front of the restaurant but nearby street parking is free

I ordered the Reuben (sorry I didn't get photos) and it was a really good size sandwich! Plenty of corned beef and plenty of sauerkraut (although too much for me). It came with TWO pickle spears, as opposed to just one - bonus, and a big helping of chips. My waiter Alex was just awesome! So, so friendly and attentive. He got a bigger tip for being johnny-on-spot. He suggested trying the Reuben and it hit the spot. Inside was just your run-of-the-mill bar, nothing remarkable. I chose to eat outside since it was a beautiful day and it was definitely more comfortable than the chilly inside. They only serve beer and wine. Overall, it's a bar/sandwich shop, but if I'm on that side of town again, I might stop in j
