It was my first time here and to be honest it wasn't that bad! I ordered the bulgogi beef and rice and it was delicious. We went during lunch time and it was pretty busy but the staff made everything flow with ease. I very much enjoyed this place! So glad to have found Korean food in the valley.

Initial impressions was very basic looking walking in with a little decor present to the eye and small tables. The drinks are not fountain and are served by the can so that is always a huge back draw for me. Upon ordering an appetizer we were told the lady who makes them was not here and that we can order it but would have for her to get it here but was not guaranteed she would come in. Prices were on the higher side for the quality and quantity of food provided. Would definitely not return or recommend to anybody but if your looking for something different I would still probably say try something else. I ordered the spicy ramen which had the quality of regular packaged maruchan from the store but served dry for about $13 bucks for only noodles and a mini side of kimchi and yellow pickled radish. Family of four cost was $85 with only 2 of 4 actually finishing our food. I’m sorry but this place was not it. However, the Korean corndogs were pretty good when comparing to others I have tried but were also smaller.

I only post my experience at restaurants and locations. Take with this information what you will. Walked into the restaurant, didn’t know if we had to wait in front or get seated, eventually we got seated. The waiter sat us down and we waited 5 mins, 10 mins, 15 mins. Nothing. Not even a hello or drinks or our order was taken. 20 mins later my wife got up to ask if anyone was gonna come tend to us. Eventually someone came and took our order. Dumplings were brought out and the taste was great. Would definitely try the dumplings. NO PLATES WERE OFFERED TO EAT OUR DUMPLINGS NO DRINKS WERE EVER BROUGHT. And the waiter repeatedly walked by us and didn’t notice we were eating our dumplings with no plates and no drinks. Absolutely unacceptable. Never going back. Glass noodles were undercooked. My wife’s dish I believe was the ribs and they were excellent. I WOULD Have GOTTEN BETTER SERVICE IF I WENT INTO THE KITCHEN MYSELF TO COOK AND BRING DRINKS.Again this is my experience. Will post pictures to validate my review.

Enjoying Korean food and hospitality thats expected it isn't 5star restaurant but for the size and location it makes perfect hospitality and food service. I've been here over a dozen times and yes I'd always return.

Such a cute place! We loved the Korean BBQ, the included sides, the topokki, & drink selections. Would definitely recommend.

Went to grab take-out for just me and was charged a 'gratuity' charge. They said they charge everyone a gratuity fee, no matter what. Feels very scammyKims Kitchen in McAllen is adding a “gratuity” charge to ALL bills, dine-in and take out. People are not noticing because they don’t hand you a receipt, they have you pay up front while they plug in your order on their side in the POS system. There are no signs anywhere about the fee. It just seems really scummy and scummy. Customers beware

This restaurant is charging all bills dine in and take out orders a gratuity fee, even if you are ordering for 1 person only. People are not noticing because they do not hand you a receipt. Very scummy of them!

I have to say I used to like this place back in the day when it used to be Seoul house but I'm assuming that they change their names and their owners to Kim's kitchen of course. When it became Kim's kitchen at first I'm not sure if the owner that's presently there was there before cuz I hadn't seen her but before the food was really good and the portions were really good too, now it feels like the food has gotten a little bit higher in price for the same if not less amount of portion of food. I ordered the bibimbap and I ordered an order of side dishes with extra charge of course and the side dishes were in those little plastic cups that are like for dipping I got maybe five of them for three or four dollars just for five but technically four since the fifth one was just the sauce for the bibimbap. Unfortunately when I called to order my entree when I placed my order the person on the phone said that it would take 30 minutes for my order to be done. 33 minutes later I went into the restaurant and they said that it was not ready yet until waiting more so I waited maybe 10 to 15 minutes more and I went home. When I opened the box of my bibimbap I smelled a burnt aroma but I didn't see anything until I reached the bottom of the bibimbap and the rice was completely black of burnt rice. I'm so disappointed as a few times have gone there the food was not as good as it was before. I probably won't be returning to this establishment not for a long while at least.

Food is great! Interesting use of plates though. A bit annoying to eat from.
