Horrible customer service! Walked in to the store and was greeted in silence while the employee was on his phone. We asked a simple question and was yelled at. The employees demeanor was very clear that he did not want to be there, but that doesn’t give him the right to treat customers poorly.
After reading the reviews I’m not the first customer to experience this kind of service. I guess this is the new customer service to expect when going to Shipley’s.

Shipley’s Donuts in McAllen has truly been the sweetest part of opening our new office next door. Every single visit has been such a great experience. The team is warm, friendly, and always welcoming. They greet us with genuine smiles, remember our orders, and make us feel like valued neighbors.
The donuts are consistently fresh, soft, and delicious, and the coffee is always hot and ready to go. It is rare to find a place where the service matches the quality of the product, but this location delivers both every time.

I wanted to share some feedback about my visit on Monday night. The employee at the counter (wearing glasses and black nail polish) did not greet me when I walked in and seemed unkept and uninterested in assisting customers. The interaction felt dismissive, as though my presence was inconvenient for him. I value your establishment, so I hope this can be addressed to improve future customer experiences. The donuts were delicious they practically still sell themselves despite the poor customer service.
Update. I just read the recent reviews & apparently I am not the only one. And the fact those reviews were acknowledged & Vincent still continues act poorly with his job.

Had a very unpleasant experience. Vincent M. Was the young man who helped us with our order. As we walk in, his body language was very clear that he was not happy to be working. He did not greet us to take our order, he stood there in silence. Confused, we began to order, not a single word, just begins to get the donuts. He puts the donuts in individual bags and aggressively puts them on the counter. Each bag he grabbed for our order, he opened and put his whole hand in the bag with no glove. Mr. Vincent had very poor food handling skills. At the end, when we were about to pay he touched his AirPod in his ear, didn’t sanitize his hands. Still didn’t say a single word, didn’t give us our total and checked us out in silence. 🤐

Cashier Vicente M. already seemed bother at me taking my time to order and when I called back, Idan was rude and told me to bring everything back to justify my purchase instead of fixing their mistake. Terrible customer service.
