Love Sonias tamales..my husband asked me pick your favorite thing to eat at Sonias my response was everything..menudo, barbacoa, chorizo with beans, tamales..highly recommend this restaurant.

The menudo reminded me of my childhood in Mexico in my grandmother kitchen! The barbacoa taco super delicious! The tamales my daughter loved them. She said it was better than Delia’s lol. We’ll be back!!

I do not understand why the reviews claim these tamales are delicious. First of all, the filling is literally pureed, I purchased the chicken and cheese dozen, the way the chicken was mushy takes away from the taste of the filling, there was hardlyany cream cheese. The maza was salty, and not fluffy enough for my taste. I ordered mine to go, but the place itself is small maybe 5 tables tops. I tried this place thinking the tamales would be better than old Delia's , with all honesty they both are overrated. I will not be trying this place again, but at least I was able to try it and review it myself. The front lady was courteous, but it seems like no one else is in the front to help with service.

Had seen someone post on social media so wanted to give it a try. First off all the tables were dirty , the self serve veggie and salsa area is a mess and empty , they only have 1 high chair in business. The ice is self serve so many hands in it and no one maintains cleanliness of it . As far as the food the menudo had a good flavor but was nothing but fat and meat no hominy . The barbacoa was mushy and foul smell nothing like seen in photos. The breakfast tacos are okay 3/10 tortillas are to hard. This is not a place we will visit again

Sonia's tamales are simply delicious the breakfast tacos are perfect so yummy you feel like your eating grandmas food when you were a kid ? To be honest the tamales are wayyyyyyyy beyond better than your local Delia's Next time I'm going for the menudo which I hear is also delicious ?/??? you guys are sleeping on this family restaurant it's simply amazing ?
