Food really isn’t that great in quality. Their birria tacos are probably the best thing to get although everything is kind of subpar. There are more quality places in McAllen. If you go there, go for the atmosphere and for the drinks.
I’m new to the Valley—moved here from Houston back in January—and I kept hearing that Suerte was the spot to be on Taco Tuesdays. People said it felt like you were teleported to Mexico for a moment, so we had to give it a shot.

Great casual place to eat and have a few drinks or just to unwind after work. All the bartenders and staff are easy going and friendly. Look for Jaime if you want the best drinks! He's always here.
