Walked in right at closing (3pm) we started to leave because I hadn't realized when a server came out and said to come in, that it was 5 til 3pm and they would love to have us :) I've always loved their breakfast (if u visit must have their breakfast potatoes!) But today we had a light lunch; a tuna melt and a reuben with fries. Both are very generous portions. I was surprised to find they serve their tuna melt with a side of housemade, honey mustard. I tried the combo and loved it! For dessert, we had the apple crumble pie super delish! Don't sleep on their muffins soooo good! Service is always top notch, cant beat it!

Ok so this is the 2nd time we have been here and we live an hour away. I need to try it again to make sure it was THAT good, and IT REALLY WAS! First of all the service was wonderful! Even before we were at the front door, they held the door and welcomed us like we were family and were directed to a table. The owner is extremely sweet and helpful. Last time we came she asked if it was our first time there, which it was and she asked if we needed help deciding and after asking her some questions she gave us great recommendations. I ordered the french toast and they were perfection! My husband got the omelette and both were executed very well! We could not stop thinking of those french toast so we came back today and he ordered another omelette and I got the chicken parm. Delicious! For dessert we shared the french toast. The veggies were seamed and not overcooked and the mashed was a little smoky in the best way! I drank peach tea and was surprised that it was actually not overly sweet. The atmosphere was like it you lived in one of those Hallmark movie small towns! My score is 11 out of 10!

Excellent service and food. I was able to enjoy a nice cup of coffee while I waited for our table. This is definitely a go-to spot for the locals!!! So if visiting during lunch rush, expect a 10-15 minute wait for a table. I promise it's worth the wait.

Me and my husband came across this place on Instagram and finally paid it a visit. The service and atmosphere of the restaurant is amazing. The workers are soooo friendly and the food is to die for. The soups, salads, and entrees are so fresh and delicious. Their caramel bananna pie is soooo good. This restaurant is definitely one of the best on the valley

What a crown jewel eatery in McAllen! We loved the whole dining experience. The owners are very visible and hands on to make sure everyone is happy. The food was amazing! I had the half sandwich and salad. Terrific homemade bread and delicious corned beef. My husband had the chicken fried steak sandwich and we topped it off with Dutch apple pie with best vanilla bean ice cream ever!! Service was top notch. Our glasses never got empty. We will definitely be going back to try more of their wonderful homemade dishes.
