Going to Whataburger next time made my reservation 2 weeks before but as soon as we came in a lady told us it was 95 a person which I understood why. The chicken was tough, service was eh, felt rushed and our tab came out to 270 just for 2 people after she specifically said 95 a person w no water or gratuity included so that was bs all we got was water. Desert tasted like it was bought at a grocery store and my steak they didn't ask how I wanted it I'm pretty sure because all they did was microwave the damn thing. If you want to spend your money well go to Taloa, RU, or Moon Restaurant. This place is all for show.

food was cold like if it was left out and just heated up ask for a salad and got a dry leaf non of the main course options were appetizing and nowhere on the reservation did it say it was a 3 course meal. bad food bad price alright service wouldn't go again.

The experience was rushed, the food lacked not only presentation but flavor. It was all under valued for being Valentine's. The location was done up nicely. We were greeted by the hostess with no hello and simply asking if we had a reservation. Limited to specific menu and only 2 hours. Since we sat down, the entire thing was rushed by servers. When we asked what was available they didn't know their vday menu saying it was a surprise. The steaks were way over cooked, fish extremely under cooked. They sneaked in an 18% auto gratuity plus other service fees. Couple of wedges of lettuce, poorly prepared main course, elementary desert for about $500. Did not leave this place a tip. And wouldn't ever consider visiting for normal day.

They gave away our reserved table. I arrived and we didn't have a table. The hostess didn't tell us that we could re-book through OpenTable, even though they always had reservations available... and we waited there for 40 minutes. There was another person, a thin blonde woman, who seemed to be giving orders not to give us a table. What a shame about the staff. The hostess couldn't do anything because the woman didn't give her any options, and my mother and I ended up without a New Year's Eve dinner... so we won't be going back, and I hope they replace that blonde woman with the terrible attitude, since she saw me at least three times and they never gave us a table. Beware of the staff; they are not attentive.

Bad service. Cold food. Was sat and left unattended for 20min. asked for water waited another 15 min. The women’s restroom was run down and unmaintained. Over all not worth your money, too expensive for such bad service.

When we arrived. The table was set up but dirty? The silverware was dirty and the plates? Super weird. So just make sure everything is washed and not dirty

Exceptional tableside service and food. Exceeds expectations when it comes to taste, service, presentation, and atmosphere. Greatly recommend it. The tomahawk steak was charred to perfection on the outside and juicy and buttery. Must try appetizer: baked cauliflower
The food was amazing, the atmosphere was awesome. The music was a little too loud but overall was a great experience the only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because the hostess was incredibly rude! She wasn’t able to find our reservation when our friends arrived before us and when we walked in she didn’t bother to ask if we by any chance made it through sms. Once we told her it was through sms she immediately had a table for us also the restaurant was honestly pretty empty, there was no reason she couldn’t have accommodated. The hostess was such a turn off.

If I could give 0 stars I would! The service was so bad we had at least 6 different people attending the table and they could not even do so in a timely manner. It took over 30 minutes just for use to get our tabs. The restroom floor was covered in pee. You would think that for such a nice extravagant and expensive place service would be good or decent at least however it was not. Safe to say my first time here will be my last!

Make sure you print and check your receipts!!! If your group is bigger than 5, expect to pay an automatic gratuity. No signage anywhere posted letting you know of that gratuity charge. Our server tried to double charge us on plates and drinks. Quick way to ruin my buzz is trying to take advantage of a group of girls. Food wasn’t anything spectacular, they also “didn’t have” the plate that I wanted. Their menu isn’t very detailed so you’re kinda winging it when ordering. Atmosphere was pretty cool and fancy looking but the service was SLOW. Went here to start us off for my bachelorette with food and drinks a couple of weekends ago. Lot of hype for mid experience. I’d highly suggest taking your money elsewhere!

We visit this well known restaurant in McAllen with a group of only 4 guest and I find it very odd that we get charged an 18% charge fee for a party of 4 guest . Anywhere we go , as we all know is your birthday and they usually complement you with a piece of cake and sing to u . Well here at Tabu they charge 20 dlls fee on top for that too . I’m a little disappointed because we were exited to try it out . Now we know for their excessive charges to go enjoy a night out there . Take care of your costumers because after this I don’t think I’ll be going back . Service was not excellent . ☹️
