Came to the Dolly Llama today. Approached the young woman working behind the counter and asked her four times before she looked at me and accepted my inquiry. We were 3 feet in front of each other and I have a very loud and deep voice. I asked her about my order which by text was noted to be ready. I had no explanation she just left our conversation. The man waiting in line asked if they could help me, and the cashier who co-opted a response told him -not me- that I was still waiting for my order after telling me “this one” right in her hand. I was shocked -total disbelief. These young women had such bad manners, and it’s quite a shame because this is one the only Dolly Llama in this area -within hundreds of miles and their brand recognition is weak. There are lots of other places to get your sweets in McAllen, even two doors down. Now I can’t say much about the food, my wife loves their waffles. I’ve never eaten here, but probably never will. Clarification: there were two employees working 10/5/2024 6:50pm and neither were exemplary in customer care.

What I enjoyed the most was the colors and the atmosphere! It was a nice place to hang out and converse. We had the build your own waffle, with strawberries, Nutella, banana, and pecans, with vanilla ice cream. It was delicious, great mixture. I will say for me the ice cream was really sweet and the waffle has like a layer of sugar which gives it kinda like a French toast feel. It was just really sweet even though I only ate half. I think it was mostly due to my combination. I recommend selecting less sweet toppings so the sweetness is not so overpowering once combined with the sweet ice cream and waffle.

i stopped by this weekend and andrea had the best service! she was so polite and extremely helpful. this was my first time going and 10/10 experience. she is for sure the reason i’ll be going back for a little sweet treat! give this girl a raise!!!!

I never do this but now my picture shows nothing on my cup and it’s because was very good. I tried first and I couldn’t stop. I love shakes and this one was delicious. Chocolate is the way to go. Very clean place. Highly recommended. If you are in the área come and try. We were just visiting friends and they brought us here.
