Definitely host your event here instead of paying $500 for The Gremlin which is Ghetto and has a scandal going on over a fight that took place with two toxic rocket lady's assaulting a guys girlfriend and also another scandal involving a groomer who hangs out at gremlin.
The gremlin is known as the fight club when it comes to metal another reason to go Walwus.
Moving back to Walwus
First the Music is zoned into 3 different acoustic zones between the Pool-Room main bar and event in the back
Second the Bartenders are respectful and make good drinks.
Third the owner and manager and respectful people and don't hold grudges over minor things and do believe in giving people chances..
The food is also amazing better pizza for $20 than paying $12 or so at Gremlins and getting it burned and crispy.
2nd time going here on a week day. The bar side is pretty chill, as is the bartender on that side. On the billiards side of the bar, however, the bartender with a beard has an attitude problem. Guy needs to work on his customer service skills.
Great place for downtown rock music as an alternative to the club scene. The staff is always helpful and interested in getting you what you need. The billiards area is small but if you get there early enough you get yourself a decent place to hang out with friends. Having three bars makes it easy to get a drink anywhere in this venue.
Parking: Don't expect to find parking near this place. Find yourself a parking garage or find some street parking nearby.

Open mic night is so fun i highly recommend. Someone told me the food was bad here and its really not i got the tenders and the seasoning on the fries was good just wish they out it on the tenders cause they were a bit bland. Ive had the pizza its ok. And the wings i cant remember but they were edible. Great place
