The lunch combo is a great deal, and the soup of the day (veggies) was flavorful but not spicy. One of the ladies brought out my baby a small separate bowl of soup & to go spoon without me even asking! Top notch service. The torta was very good. A great choice for a filling lunch thats not deep fried or greasy.

They are probably the best cakes in McAllen. They are inspired by the Tampico wall cakes.

They bake their breads themselves and the sauces are spectacular. The green sauce with pork rinds is delicious. I also like that you have the option of ordering soup with your combo. Every day the soup is different and they are pretty good.

I have been frequenting this place for years. The cakes are delicious, but lately the staff is no longer as attentive as before. We wanted to order by phone twice, they left us on hold discussing their working hours. I went in person and the employee was very unfriendly. I asked him if they no longer take orders over the phone and he rudely said that they were too busy to serve me. I didn't see that it was full at all. In any food place, no matter how busy it is, orders are attended to. The client is not left waiting on the open line listening to their personal conflicts. The employee should have more customer service.

I ordered at the drive-thru, but you have to pull up to the window since the speaker at that menu doesn't work(?). It wasn't a big issue, though! We got two tortas, and they were AWESOME (one fajita, one chipotle chicken)!!! Be warned....their sala verde is actually pretty spicy--reminded me of my abuelita's salsa!! Definitely will try sitting in to dine again!

The food is excellent, the service is tasty, we have also been customers since they opened but yesterday, 3/5/24, for the first time I was not pleased that inside the kitchen there was a woman with long blonde messy hair preparing food without a mesh in her hair. and one of the waitresses with her pony tail and her very long blonde hair loose inside the kitchen, the only two grill cooks with braids and caps ???? the young girl in front every time she entered towards the correct place she put on a cap but the two other blondes with no common sense with their hair down inside a very bad kitchen, I and my family didn't like it at all, we waited for the orchata until the two blondes finished talking and we were done, the young girl flew to the phone, the window and the dining room I hope you appreciate your good work ??
