Whew, as usual, I don't take pleasure in writing the negative review. But CJ caused major issues for the event that my team and I hosted. Caveat: the pasta and empanadas really were good. Unfortunately, the service ruined the whole experience.People would order and wait for UP TO AN HOUR to get their food! After that hour, the food WOULD BE COLD! While they were waiting, they had to watch THE COOKS FIGHTING IN THE TRUCK! Can you imagine?CJ was asked to arrive early for setup. When she arrived, she complained that no diners were present - while she had been advised MULTIPLE TIMES THAT SHE WAS ARRIVING EARLY FOR SETUP. And yet somehow she still failed to prepare for timely order fulfillment. As a result of her failures, the team ended up not eating and/or being out of commission for longer than planned while they waited for food. I personally told one guest to go enjoy herself, and I would myself wait for her food - she had already been waiting for 45 minutes! And, yes, half of her order was cold by the time that it came out.I tried offering feedback to CJ and even asking for a small credit given the effects of her lack of preparation on the event. CJ said that the infighting was misunderstood - it was just loving family feuds during meal preparation. She was taken aback when I mentioned her failures. She tried to paint the issues as isolated. One of my team members mentioned that her food was also cold, but CJ responded that this is because the team member had "walked away."Ultimately, she would not take responsibility. With every apology, she had an excuse. She refused to take upon herself the honest feedback. Especially given her refusal to simply accept the failures and apologize, I pretty much had to write to warn any other possible clients of her unprofessionalism.

I had the Jerk Tacos and coleslaw; both were amazing. I thought these were going to be small but these were full size tacos and the taste/spice were amazing. They were parked at The Nest in Melissa and I look forward to trying more from them.

I was a little disappointed by what I ordered. I was expecting some oxtails or jerk. I wasnt given much of an option. I got the hot dog and Rasta pasta. Hot dog was good but unusual for a Caribbean food... pasta was okay. No chicken or any meat but it wasn't bad. The highlight was the mango drink. Super delicious. I was expecting more but food is good. It does take a while even though it's just hot dogs and pasta.... good good though just not what I expected.
Ambience ??
Was able to experience CJ‘s right outside TUPPS Brewery. Their flavors are incredibly complex and hit the spot with a nice beer. The beef, j*** chicken and rice is on point. Truly enjoyed our conversation with Shey. More people need to know about this place. Make sure you man up and ask for the scotch bonnet pepper sauce!
the food. the food. the FOOD! So glad I found out about them. The owner and the cook were great. I'm looking forward to going back!!!!
