I WEALLY wanna love this place but aesthetics don’t feed the tummy I fear. Coffee takes too long and is always burnt ://
I thought it was a one off but three different times that thang was not thangin 3/5 stars sowwyy 😔
I would take your business elsewhere on the square! There’s really good coffee here in mck just not here at collective!

Coffee was fine. Coffee cake was stale. Our coffee order took 30 minutes. We saw people that ordered after us getting their drinks so not sure what happened. For the high price and super slow service it’s a pass for me.

I’ve been here twice since moving to the area and they are always personable and friendly. Today they had a sourdough “vendor” and it was great, too. I would love to see them add a coffee option with a natural sweetener like maple syrup or honey, but I may have just missed it. Great place to get some work done, too.

Coffee is good. Pastries were eh. The staff weren’t busy and it took 20 minute to get my coffee and pastries.

My friends and I had a great time at this spacious, beautifully decorated coffee shop! I loved how quiet and peaceful it was—the perfect place to bring a book, journal, or do a word search. The customer service from Raleigh and the petite young lady was truly A+! And the coffee? Absolutely delicious. I love to “live in a cup,” enjoying the moment with every sip.

Thank you to the sweetest barista who met me with presence and kindness after a rough afternoon. The atmosphere here is easy on the nervous system, and the drinks feel like hugs, especially the Tennessee, my favorite. Thank you. 🫶🏾

Really awesome coffee spot. Came in from Georgia to see the family and stumbled upon this incredible establishment. Very friendly GM and a great place to stop by if you want to walk around Mckinney Square - full recommendation.

Good traditional tasting coffee. Always a fan of a Slayer espresso machine. Good staff and open floor plan.

I’ve been visiting this coffee shop for about a year. Was visiting nearly everyday up until June-ish
Here are my thoughts:
- Quality of the coffee has definitely declined since the start of the year. I’m not sure if they changed the brands of their ingredients or different way of making it, but the “base” of the coffee doesnt hit the same as it used to.
- Lovely, large and cozy interior with lots of places to work and relax.
- The desserts and pastries are good. I really like their croissants and the blueberry loaf from Gabi. They sometimes bring in new items for the season(s) which is fun.
- A lot of the staff from a year ago has unfortunately left. They definitely managed the place well.
- Can be difficult to find parking but location itself is great
- Overall, decent place!
Collective Coffee is a must-visit in Downtown McKinney!
The space is gorgeous—over 4000 sq ft with cozy seating, work-friendly vibes, and everything you'd want in a local café.
Their almond and raspberry croissants are flaky on the outside and filled with the most delicious cream inside—easily some of the best pastries I’ve had locally.
I loved both the hot and cold coffee options, and the kolaches were such a fun, tasty surprise. Whether you're looking to work, relax, or catch up with friends, this spot checks every box. Definitely worth the stop!

Collective Coffee was the perfect place to host our journal club event! They were incredibly responsive when it came to setting up and communicating about our meet up. They happily reserved a space for our group of 12 to meet and even allowed us to come a second day, without any issues.
We visited on Saturday and Sunday and it was packed! There is plenty space for people to spread out and lots of tables. The baristas did a great job handling so many orders.
