I want to take a moment to recognize Tawana, the manager at Dairy Queen, for her exceptional kindness and professionalism. Even though the store was temporarily closed for remodeling, she went out of her way to help me during the intense summer heat by allowing me to step inside to cool off and kindly offered to refill my water bottle.
Her warm and respectful demeanor truly stood out — she not only explained when the location would reopen but did so with such genuine care and grace. Tawana embodies the very best of what customer service should be. If more people in the service industry carried themselves with the same heart and generosity as she does, the world would be a much better place.

Went today on taco Tuesday and the lady taking my order Toni was really sweet nice and professional. She greeted my family and I when we walked in. And she came out to check on us to make sure we needed anything. Took our trash and everything. Very good service. Thank you Toni. I will be back to this location.

Went on Sunday for an ice cream and ate inside. The people were nice and the ice cream just like I remembered it. And this store was amazingly clean! Even the bathroom! I was so impressed, because it’s not what you see in a lot of places anymore. The management of this establish has it figured out!

Food is usually good. But the service today sucked! I never drink soda or eat fries but today I was feeling wild. I tried the DP but it wasn’t good, told them the Dr. Pepper was either low in syrup or high in carbonation. The lady at the drive through just stared at me and closed her window. So I went in to exchange it. The cashier never spoke a word but handed me a cup. At least the root beer was decent. Not great but decent. And change the oil in the fryer, these fries are soggy and you can taste the old grease, disgusting. Haha just got to my burger, I asked for a jr, got a regular. It’s a ratio thing. I don’t like the regular! Didn’t pay attention to the price. Guess I should have. Ewe after trying it. Gross! Over all bad experience….

Since the new manager took over, this Dairy Queen has really become something special. I’ve met and chatted with her a few times—she’s super nice, clearly knows what she’s doing, and runs a great team. The employees are always friendly and go above and beyond to keep customers happy. The food is always fresh, even when I order through DoorDash—it still arrives as if it just came off the grill! Honestlyyy, you don’t see that level of quality and care every day. I can honestly say she’s one of a kind and makes this location the best around!

Inside was hot like their a/c is going out. That's a hazard and needs to be addressed. Workers shouldn't have to endure that type of heat and customers should be comfortable and it wasn't. Food was so-so a bit dry and hard. Customer service was on point.

We've been to several places for Taco Tuesday. This location has some of the best. Another favorite is a blizzard, a great way to finish off a lunch. Excellent customer service as well.

HORRIBLE Waited fifteen minutes for food that didn’t even arrive and we left early because immature adults including employees and customers were fighting and threatening to hurt each other. Full out cussing, screaming, horrible environment. Never come here. I would rate this place a zero since it’s probably the worst fast food place in McKinney. All the employees need to get fired for how horribly they treated the situation. People need to mature but obviously grown adults working at a Dairy Queen aren’t mature enough since they most likely didn’t even graduate.

Don’t go around lunchtime if you value your time! I went through drive thru today and was parked at 1:04 pm and didn’t get my food til 1:22 pm all because someone gave my food to the wrong car! I was the last car to leave after the 4 cars who were behind me in drive thru got their food, I always come here but today was my last time at this location and to top it off the only thing “hot” on my order was the steak fingers what a shame 😡
